Stampin’ Up! Everyday Details Your Special Day Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Friday!  Hope you’ve got big plans for the weekend!  Or – NO plans, if that’s your druthers!  Hint: that’s on MY list for this weekend, for sure!

My card today is pretty clean and simple and yet…very much my kind of card!  It uses the pretty Everyday Details bundle and…a little Flight & Airy DSP (which I got for FREE – and so can you!).  I think this would be a great birthday card for a man – let me know what YOU think!  Take a look-see:

I started by adhering a piece of Pecan Pie paper from the beautiful Flight & Airy DSP to the front of a Pecan Pie card base.

Y’all – this paper is gorgeous….

…and you can select it as your FREE Sale-A-Bration goody when you make a purchase of $50 or greater between now and the end of SAB on 29 Feb!

I matted another design from the DSP on Soft Sea Foam then, using a little Stampin’ Seal – adhered a length of Pecan Pie 3/8″ Center Stripe Ribbon around the panel.  I tied the ends off with some Linen Thread. 🙂

Then I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the bird nest image from Everyday Details in Pecan Pie ink.  I used the Light Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blend to color the leaves and both Soft Sea Foam Blends to color the eggs.

I cut out the image with the largest Everyday Details rectangle die.  In the corners, I stamped the little dots image in Soft Sea Foam ink.

Then I popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock, I stamped the Everyday Details sentiment in Pecan Pie ink and then cut it out with the second-from-smallest Stylish Shapes circle die.

I stamped the little dots image a few times over the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam ink.

Using Liquid Glue and a few Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment in the corner of the card front.

I added some Adhesive-backed Cork Rounds and the card front was done!

On the inside, I kept it simple with the Everyday Details dots image in Soft Sea Foam in two corners of a Very Vanilla panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Soft Sea Foam mat and into the Pecan Pie card base and the card was done!

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Everyday Details dots image in Soft Sea Foam on the front…

….and more of the Flight & Airy DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Oh my – Everyday Details is another bundle in our shiny new catalog that is so right-up-my-alley!  I love the organic images and pretty, versatile sentiments!  And it pairs PERFECTLY with the new – and FREE! – Flight & Airy DSP in the 2024 Sale-a-Bration catalog! And – what did you decide?  Good for a guy or…?? 🤔

You know – “studies show” is one of the more…open ended and somewhat misleading opening statements ever.

Really?  WHAT studies?  Sponsored by…??  PAID for by…??  See what I mean?  Anyone can make numbers show pretty much whatever they want them to show,

Well – not ME!  That’s not my wheeel-house AT ALL.  But…”THEY” can!

However. I just saw that there was a study that showed that dogs’ faces have evolved to be CUTER to humans.

Did a small sampling of my own to corroborate their results.

Yup!  Study – Verified!

And yes.  My tree IS still up! 🙂

Such a pretty card! Love the colors and your layout is perfect! Ginny would definitely agree on the study that dogs faces have evolved to be cuter. 🙂 All of the other “studies”…she’s a little more skeptical too. 😉

Right? Like the toothpaste one…4 out of 5 dentists?!🤷‍♀️. Thanks, Amy! 🙂

Oh, my gosh, I love that face! You already know I love your card and that you are an influencer! Have a great restful weekend. What tree? LOL!

    • stampsnlingers

It’s a pretty stinkin’ cute face, that’s for sure! Thanks, Karen! 🙂

What a beautiful card, Mary! I really like how the nest and the eggs in sea foam green turned out. What a neat stamp set. Thanks for sharing!

Mary, This card is so pretty! I love this bundle. I had ordered just the stamps because I didn’t realize how cool the dies were. Then I saw samples of cards like yours. The dies are so cool! Just received the dies yesterday. Can’t wait to play with them. Thanks for sharing.

    • stampsnlingers

Yeah! Glad that you got the dies, too – have fun! Thank you! 🙂

I love this card! So pretty! CAS but still layered—best of both worlds! Love your ribbon treatment too. TFS. Yep, I’d agree with that study, no matter who did it! Glad you are still enjoying your tree…makes me smile!

    Nice card!
No plans here except to keep warm and off the road.
Hmmm…facial evolution – or maybe facial accommodation? Have run out of time to do a legit study.
