Stampin’ UP! Alphabet Perennial Painted Lavender Sneak Peek Thank You

Hey guys!  Happy Thanksgiving-eve!  Are you doing all the cooking and prepping today?  I’m getting BOTH my pressure cookers fired up for potatoes, making pimento cheese and deviled eggs and a pumpkin dessert.  And Brussels Sprouts – using a recipe we had at our retreat (they’re so yummy that people who said – “I HATE brussels sprouts” went back for seconds!!).  So – busy day!

Since I promised that our Thursday videos would showcase a new pretty from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog…but we’re not DOING a video tomorrow – I decided to give you a sneaky look TODAY!  And – I even did a short video, too!

For this one – we’re looking at the Painted Lavender Suite – the Painted Lavender stamp set and Perennial Postage bundle (one of my favoritest new things!).  And the Painted Lavender DSP is…simply…stunning!  Oh – and I used the Alphabet A La Mode dies from the 2023-24 Annual Catalog, too!  Take a look-see:

I selected some elements for the card from the Festive Friday Inspo List. I picked Alphabet/Letters, Hello sentiment, Postage Stamp, Enamel Dots, Patterned Paper!

I started by adhering a piece of new Painted Lavender DSP (available on 4 Jan) onto the front of a Shaded Spruce card base using Liquid Glue.  Y’all – this paper is…spectacular!

Using the next-to-largest postage stamp die in the Perennial Postage die set – bundled with the Perennial Postage sentiment-only stamp set…

…to cut out two pieces of the DSP.

I adhered the flowered-design die cut to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On the plaid die cut, I stamped the lavender images from Painted Lavender….

…in the corner – twice in Highland Heather and twice in Fresh Freesia.  Then I added the small flower image a couple times in Highland Heather.

I added some leaves in stamped-off-once Shaded Spruce.

Using the Alphabet A La Mode dies to cut out Early Espresso letters – which I adhered to the panel with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the butterflies from Painted Lavender a couple of times in stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock ink.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the panel at a little angle onto the front of the card.

I added some new Purple Fine Glitter Gems – LOVE!!! – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a Perennial Postage sentiment in Early Espresso on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the Painted Lavender flowers and leaves in Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia and stamped-off-once Shaded Spruce.  I added the stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock butterflies above the sentiment.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Fresh Freesia mat and into the Shaded Spruce card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Painted Lavender flowers on the front…

…and more of the plaid Painted Lavender DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh.  My.  Goodness!  Y’all – this is simply a STUNNING suite!  Anchored by Painted Lavender (all the pretty – none of the growing pains!) and the Perennial Postage bundles (I love postage dies!!) – this suite needs to be number one or number two on your gotta-get-it-SOON list!

Such a sweet card! Love the colors and that paper is awesome! Poor Mr Octopus…wonder how long it will be before he’ll need surgery. 😉

No telling! He’s standing strong for now but…Finn is dogged about these kinds of things! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Mary, I hope you, Wayne and Finn will have a wonderful Thanksgiving, along with whomever you share it. It sounds like it will be a tasty event. I’d love the recipe for BS because I hate brussel sprouts! Can’t wait to see how Mr. Octopus turns out. Your card is fantastic. That suite is going to be the first thing I pre-order 12/5!
