Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a great theme challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
We have a bunch of amazing stamp sets that would have worked for our theme challenge today but…I finally decided to pull out the totes adorbs Elephant Parade bundle, one of my fave papers – the Dandy Designs DSP (it’s gorgeous AND free!! Winner winner!) – and…an Online Exclusive that’s coming to you soon! Take a look-see:
And – here’s the theme we played with this week – I got ’em both in there!! 😎😎😎
I also played along with the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge – using their “board” to help me make some design decisions!! I went down the diagonal – CAS/Pink/Embossing!
I started by embossing a Petal Pink panel in one of the new Basics 3D Embossing Folders – a new Online Exclusive product available to customers on 1 March. I used the texture folder – in the middle here…
Then I popped the panel onto the front of a Petal Pink card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the third-from-largest Deckled Rectangle die, I cut a pretty Petal Pink design from the uber-awesome Dandy Designs DSP – which for…just FIVE more days you can get for FREE with a $100+ order!! I adhered the panel to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I cut a 1″ x 4 1/4″ piece of the Dandy Designs DSP and then punched both ends with the Banners Pick A Punch. That made the strip the PERFECT length for my card! I adhered the banner to the card front with Liquid Glue
I cut a Basic White panel with the FIFTH-from-largest Deckled Rectangle and stamped the Elephant Parade sentiment near the bottom in Calypso Coral ink. Then I embossed it in the flower’dy folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (it’s the one on the left in the photo above) – and popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White I stamped the little Elephant Parade heffalump in Basic Gray Ink, the small flower in Basic Gray and three butterflies in Calypso Coral. Then I used their dies from the Elephant Die set to cut them all out.
I colored the elephant with a Light Gray Granite and light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend. The flower is Mango Melody – using a Stampin’ Write Marker. And I colored the butterflies in Petal Pink and Calypso Coral – using Stampin’ Write Markers.
I adhered the elephant and flower with Liquid Glue and popped the butterflies on with a half Stampin’ Dimensional.
A little grass seemed called for – so I cut two grasses using the dies from the Elephant Dies set in Granny Apple Green and adhered them with Liquid Glue.
I added some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels and the card front was done.
On the inside, I cut a piece of Basic White with the largest Deckled Rectangles die and stamped three Elephant Parade butterflies in Calypso Coral in the corner. I colored them with the Calypso Coral and Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Markers. I adhered the die cut to the inside of the Petal Pink card base using Liquid Glue. Then I cut a 1″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Dandy Designs DSP, punched both ends with the Banners Pick A Punch, adhered it across the bottom with Liquid Glue – and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got three cute butterflies on the front…
…and a little more Dandy Designs DSP on the envelope flap!
Et Voila! Oh my – is this little heffalump from the Elephant Parade not just the sweetest?!? All THREE of them are adorable!! I think this card could be used for SO many occasions!! And Dandy Designs DSP – can we talk about how amazing it is?! And – you can still get this ginormous pack-o-pretty for FREE (with a $100+ purchase) but…only for 5 more days! Don’t miss it, my peeps!!
I hope you like!
