Stampin’ Up! Fun Santa’s Delivery Train Christmas Card

Hey, my peeps – how’s everyone today?  Doing well?  I hope so and I hope that your week is going good so far! Just a quick note – if you haven’t checked out this week’s Weekly Deals – be sure to do that quick – they’re only good thru tomorrow!

My card today uses the super fun – hey, have you heard that Santa Claus is coming to town in…97 days?  Yep.  It’s true.  Sorry!  Anywhooo…my card uses the Santa’s Delivery stamp set with its bundled Santa’s Train Dies.  And – it’s such a cool set, especially when you consider that the dies will cut out fun images from the coordinating Santa Express DSP (I LOVE when that happens, don’t you??).  Take a look-see:

I started by adhering some Santa Express DSP to a Shaded Spruce mat for the card front.  Then I picked another design in the pack and cut a strip – then matted it and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next – I cut three Stitched Rectangles

from yet another design in the paper and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

I used some Liquid Glue to adhere a Wonderful Snowflake to the card.

Next up – using the die in the Santa’s Train set – I cut out a fun locomotive from a piece of Santa Express DSP and then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped a Santa’s Delivery sentiment in Poppy Parade on a small piece of Basic White cardstock – matted it on Shaded Spruce and then adhered it with Liquid Glue on the left end and a Stampin’ Dimensional on the right.

I added some Adhesive-backed Stars – and each star got an Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewel and the card front was done.

On the inside, I added a quick sentiment from Santa’s Delivery in Poppy Parade on a Basic White panel – then stamped the sign image (pretty sure it points to the North Pole!) in Shaded Spruce.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Shaded Spruce mat and into my Poppy Parade card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Santa’s Delivery sign in Shaded Spruce on the front…

…and more of the Santa Express DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  One of my favorite things that Stampin’ Up! does is make dies that cut out the adorable – or gorgeous! – images in our amazing designer series paper. This collaboration between the Santa’s Train Die set and the Santa Express DSP is no exception!  You can cut out the locomotive AND the rail car, too!!  And you can ALWAYS stamp more images using the Santa’s Delivery stamp set – and cut THOSE out as well!  Christmas made easy! 🙂

HOST CODE FOR 16 SEP – 30 SEP: CHZU7CTX

Use this host code when you order $50 or greater and receive a free gift (AND the Monthly Card Tutorial) from me!  If your order is over $150, please do not use this code, but you’ll still get the free gift.  The free gift is your choice of any item valued up to $10.00 in any active Catalog!  That includes some of the Host Exclusive stamp sets!  See my Customer Rewards page for full details.

Note: Make sure that you can see my name on the final checkout page listed as your Demonstrator when you order so that you know that you’re ordering with me and you’ll get my rewards!

You’ll also be getting a link to my ZOOM The Craftroom (an exclusive TWICE-A-WEEK online event for my customers) and the monthly Online Tutorial. The September Tutorial features the Perched in a Tree Bundle!

In response to changing policies at Stampin’ Up – I’m adjusting my Ordering Gift policy as well.  😔   I’m having to get a little more hard-over on the adding of Host codes when you place your order thru my Online Store.

Not to worry – you’re still going to get that $10 ordering gift for orders of $50 (before shipping & tax) or greater (I’m not a monster!! 😎).  And the gift is still any SU! product up to that $10 value – which includes some of our fun Host Sets!

But – if you DO NOT use the code for your orders of less than $150 (this is the RETAIL total before Shipping & Handling), then you’ll have two options:

  1. You’ll need to call Stampin’ Up! (1-800-Stamp-Up) and ask them to add it for you. They’re very helpful and will get it done lickety-split!  OR….
  2. If your order was over the $50 threshold but under $150, then…you’ll forfeit that $10 ordering gift – this is the Bummer Option – and I REALLY don’t want to do it, so….

You’ll still get the monthly tutorial and link to my monthly Zoom The Craftroom (YEAH!!) but….not that free goody!  And no one wants that to happen so….try to remember, okay!?

Click here to see instructions for how to add the code before you check out – it’s in Printable PDF Form so you can keep it handy! 🙂

If you have any questions – please get in touch with me!  I’ll be happy to help!

Finn Fan Fix

On Sunday – after dinner, we all went out to feed the ponies.

Afterwards – as usual, we walked around the road with Finn carrying his bottle.

Well.  Part way.  He dropped it somewhere – it’s his way of extending the fun – he “finds” it on another day and it’s a BIG TIME!! 🙂

He beat us back to the door – and was waiting for us…

All posing and stuff – like a show dog! 🙂

And then – the tongue….

He was VERY hot!
