Stampin’ Up! Peace to You Clean and Simple Christmas Card

Good morning and Happy Happy HAWWWWMP Day.  Or – is it actually Hawwwmp Day if Monday was a holiday?

I dunno.  Happy Wednesday either way!

Two Admin-y things before we get going!  First – today’s the last day to take advantage of the first September Weekly Deals.  Brushed Brass Butterflies and Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed Dots.  Among other goodies.  Just sayin’!

And second – today is the START of the availability of a super cool new Kit – called the Christmas Gifting Kit.  With this one great kit you’ll be able to make 9 gift tags AND 9 Gift Card Holders!  It’s time to be thinking along those lines and…this is a great start!  Get the deets down below!

Okay.  Here we go!  So – I saw one of the most gorgeous cards the other day – my friend Brian King posted it and…I had to CASE it.

I.  Had.  To.

So – I did!  Like him, I used the Peace to You stamp set – although I selected the other big and gorgeous image in the set.  And I used my fave Orchid Oasis instead of Starry Sky.  Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! Peace to You Clean and Simple Christmas Card

I started by adhering a piece of Basic White cardstock on an Orchid Oasis mat – then adhering it to the front of a Basic Gray cardbase with Liquid Glue.

Using my Stamparatus (highly recommend this amazing tool – especially for ink-heavy images like those in this set!) I stamped the pretty Holy Family image from Peace to You in Orchid Oasis ink on a small panel of Basic White cardstock.

When I had it nice and dark, I used the Stamparatus to add the sentiment in Basic Gray below the image.

Then I adhered the panel to an Orchid Oasis mat and then to a Basic Gray mat with Liquid Glue.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to the card front.

I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels – hey, it’s me here!! – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Peace to You sentiment in Basic Gray on a Basic White panel.  Then I pulled out the Trimming the Tree set and stamped the little star a few times in So Saffron ink.  A Rhinestone Basic Jewel finished off the panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Orchid Oasis mat and into the Basic Gray card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Trimming the Tree stars in So Saffron on the front…

…and I used Stampin’ Seal + (instead of Liquid Glue cuz…Vellum!) to adhere some Snowflake Specialty Vellum to the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How gorgeous is this card (thanks, Brian, for the inspiration!)?!?  The Peace to You set is stunning in its simplicity to begin with – and in the crisp, clean color palette of white – Basic Gray – Orchid Oasis….WOWZA!

I hope you like!
