Good morning, y’all! Hope your weekend is going well! I’ve discovered that when 65 year old me decides to medium-deep clean the kitchen, make sourdough pizza AND sourdough bread AND do a card video all on one single Saturday – that 65 year old me is…whooped at the end of the day! So today for me is…recover! Which might include watching a few episodes of Bridgerton. I FINALLY started watching it and now, of course, I’m hooked! LOL!
Today’s card uses my favorite Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder two different ways – along with the coordinating Fern & Flora bundle – to make a pretty thank you card! Take a look-see:
Doesn’t it look like it’s glowing!? That’s the Lemon Lime Twist!
I started by using Small Blending Brushes to lay down color on a Basic White panel. I used Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green and Granny Apple Green.
With the color in place, I put the panel into the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder. I used some sticky note tape to secure the panel in place in the folder – adhering it to the side of the folder WITHOUT the printed logo. Then I ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.
I opened the folder – leaving the panel exactly where it was – and used my Secret Sea ink pad to add color to the side of the folder WITH the logo. Note: you can angle the pad and scrape the edge across the folder but…that didn’t give me as much color as a wanted. So… I patted the folder with the flat ink pad – and that worked great! 🙂
I closed the folder and ran it back thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.
Then I cut the panel down to the 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ that I wanted and adhered it to a Lemon Lime Twist mat with Liquid Glue. I adhered that panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a bow with Linen Thread and adhered it with a little Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Fern & Flora frame in Lemon Lime Twist. Inside, I stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea ink. Then I cut it out with the coordinating die in the set. I adhered the sentiment over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the little moth from the set three times in Secret Sea ink. I colored them with Pool Party and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and cut them out with their die in the set.
I adhered them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend, I colored five Antique Pearls. I added them to the card and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second Fern & Flora sentiment in Secret Sea ink on a Basic White panel. In the corner, I stamped the large fern in Lemon Lime Twist and again in Granny Apple Green ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Secret Sea card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Fern & Flora fern in Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green on the front…
…and a piece of Secret Sea Two-tone Cardstock – embossed in the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder! – on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I am so glad that the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder is back in stock – it’s so beautiful and for sure one of my faves of all time! I love it just embossed on a plain panel but…it’s amazing with this blackout technique. Or – should I say Secret Sea-out!? Isn’t Secret Sea just…the bestest!? The Fern & Flora bundle is amazing, too – with the sentiments and pretty stampable and die cuttable images!

2026 BACK TO SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS!
Thirteen states – plus Puerto Rico! – will have Sales Tax Holidays for school supplies in July and August and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states! According to state statutes, “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes” are eligible. And – this includes select Stampin’ Up! products! BOOM!
The states with upcoming tax holidays are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts**, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio**, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Puerto Rico. So, if you live in one of those states or Puerto Rico, take a second to download the sheet below and mark your calendar! NOTE: The table on the left shows the states, their dates, and the limit. The right-hand table shows the SU! Items that qualify! And yes – ALL the Stampin’ Dimensionals qualify!! 😎
**MA & OH Special Note: Unlike the other participating states, Massachusetts and Ohio are not limited to the products listed in this document. Additional current Stampin’ Up! products may qualify based on each state’s exemption rules and price limits. (MA limit: $2,500 per item; OH limit: $20 per item.)
How Exemption Limits Work: Sales tax will not be applied to qualifying items priced at or below the exemption limit specified for each state. There is no limit to the quantity of qualifying items that may be purchased, provided each individual item does not exceed the applicable state limit.
Please note: You have to place your order with Stampin’ Up! DURING the tax holiday period in your state in order to receive these items tax-free (so – that’s from MIDNIGHT local time on the first day to MIDNIGHT local time on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a STATE SALES TAX holiday and the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.
For those wondering about Georgia, Louisiana, New Jersey and Wisconsin, those states will NOT have the sales tax holiday this year. Whaawaaaaa…. 🙁
If you’re in one of the thirteen states or Puerto Rico – happy tax-saving!

Most of my mornings start like this.
It works for us both pretty darned good. Only problem – and it’s a “me” problem – is that it makes it even harder to get my hindquarters up and on the treadmill.
