Stampin’ Up! Knit Sweater Together Time of Giving for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

When I saw our sketch, I saw “background stamp”.  And the one I decided to pull out for you was the Knit Together stamp set – with the bundled Knit Sweater dies.  And – for the sentiment – and a few other elements (like LEAVES!) – out came the Time of Giving stamp set and bundled Giving Gifts Dies.  Take a look-see:

I think this could easily work as a card for a guy, don’t you?

Here’s our hop sketch challenge.

And I pulled the colors from The Paper Players.  Crumb Cake is my 4th color!

And – for the Cupcake Inspirations challenge – where…anything goes!

I started by using Liquid Glue to adhere a piece of Early Espresso paper from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP to the front of an Early Espresso card base.

Next, I placed a Crumb Cake panel into my Stamparatus and stamped it with the Knit Together background stamp in Crumb Cake.

Using the reindeer (or white-tail buck, if you will! 😉 ) die in the Knit Sweater die set – I cut two rows of them from the stamped panel.

I wrapped some Linen Thread a few times around the bottom of the panel, securing it in back with Glue Dots.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the leaves die in the Giving Gifts die set (part of the Time of Giving bundle) to cut some leaves.  I cut Pumpkin Pie and Pale Papaya from the Regals and 2020-2022 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP packs.  I cut two sets of each color.  Had some leaves leftover, but… I needed more large leaves than I could get with just one pass! 🤷‍♀️

I laid out all the leaves and then adhered them.  I did every other leaf with a Stampin’ Dimensional – and the alternate leaves with Liquid Glue.  That ended up making all my Pumpkin Pie leaves popped up – and all the Pale Papaya leaves adhered flat!

I stamped the Time of Giving sentiment in Early Espresso on the plaid Pale Papaya DSP and cut it with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

I adhered the sentiment over the Linen Thread with Stampin Dimensionals.

Then I used Liquid Glue to tuck a few leftover Giving Gifts die cut leaves under the left end.

I tied a little Linen Thread bow around the wrapped Linen Thread – making sure it was set over the leaves and snugged up to the sentiment – and the card front was done.

For the inside, I stamped a leaf from the Time of Giving stamp set in stamped-off-once Pale Papaya onto a Very Vanilla panel.

Note: this is another stamp that I took the plunge on and cut apart!  I can put them all on a block at the same time or one at a time.  Easy peasy!

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Pumpkin Pie mat and into the Early Espresso card base and the card was done.

My Very Vanilla Medium Envelope got the Time of Giving leaf in full-strength Pale Papaya on the front…

…and more Early Espresso Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Knit Together background stamp in the tone-on-tone Crumb Cake looks like a cozy sweater to me!  Add in some “deer” from the Knit Sweater Dies and a few leaves from the Giving Gifts die set and…I think you’ve got a winning Fall sweater!  The Time of Giving stamp set is so versatile – covering Fall, Halloween and Christmas!
