Stampin’ Up! Merry Melody Christmas Season to Remember

Happy Friday, y’all!!  As you read this, I’ll probably be on the treadmill (for the last time in a few days!)…OR running around like a chicken with my head cut off (something that…quite frankly…I’d be happy to go to my grave never actually seeing!!) trying to get ready to leave for the retreat.  I’ve noticed that the more…ahead I feel…the behinder I actually am!  🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

If you were able to join me yesterday for my YouTube live I appreciate you spending part of your day with me!  If not – but you’d like to see the replay – here ’tis!

At our meeting last weekend, my friend (and upline!) Amy Koenders did a super pretty clean-and-simple card using one of my fave things – the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.  And some Painted Christmas Suite goodies.  I loved her version and so…decided to do my own riff on it!  Take a look-see:

I played along with the Watercooler Wednesday challenge with this one.

I started by matting a piece of Basic White cardstock on another piece of Basic White cardstock for the card front.

Then I embossed a smaller panel of the cardstock in the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder – matted IT on Basic White and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.  Uhm…are you seeing a theme here?!  😂😂😂

On another piece of Basic White – in Early Espresso ink – I stamped two berry sprigs from the Christmas Season stamp set.  Then I added the berries in Cherry Cobbler.  I also stamped the holly leaves in Soft Succulent (I stamped the image twice which gave me FOUR leaves – I only used three on the card, though) and the pine sprig and other leaf (no idea what kind of plant that is – sorry!) in Evening Evergreen.

I cut all the foliage out with the matching dies from the Seasonal Labels Die set.

On another rectangle of Basic White, I stamped the Christmas to Remember sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink and matted it on Basic White.

I started to dry fit the foliage and the sentiment panel and realized I needed just another…little…sumpin’ sumpin’…a pinecone! 😳😳😳

So…I stamped the detailed pinecone – the smallest one in the Christmas Season set – in Early Espresso ink.  I added the less detailed image – the “fill” if you will – in stamped off once Early Espresso.  And then cut it with the matching die in Seasonal Labels.

That was just what I needed – so I adhered everything  to the card front with Liquid Glue and popped my matted sentiment over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used Liquid Glue to nestle some Gold Holly Leaves into the collage and finally added a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels in Soft Succulent and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Christmas to Remember in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White panel.  Then I stamped my foliage in the corner, in Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Cherry Cobbler and added a Soft Succulent jewel.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere the panel to a Basic White mat and then into a Thick Basic White card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Christmas to Remember foliage on the front…

…and the stamped pinecone and bough on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Thank you, Amy, for the inspiration for this card!  I love the pops of color from the Christmas Season die cut foliage and Christmas to Remember sentiment against the white-on-white-on-white.  The addition of the Merry Melody 3D Embossing is the perfect finishing touch!

I hope you like!

  4. What is the measurement of the card stock with the music notes?

    • stampsnlingers

Hey – you know…I already mailed that off and apparently did NOT write down the measurement. Based on how it looks it was probably along the 1 3/4 – 2″ wide and 4 1/8 long or so! I’m so sorry that I missed that one! Thanks!
