Stampin’ Up! Comfort & Hope Sneak Peek With Video Tutorial

Happy Friday!!  I hope you’ve had an awesome week.  Headed into a long weekend!  So…put on your 3-day weekend pajamas!  🙂

If you were able to join me for my YouTube video yesterday – I appreciate you spending some of your day with me!  If not, but you’d like to see the replay…here ’tis!

This card is a sneak peek of the new Comfort & Hope set from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  And it’s a sweet one – especially when paired with some wonderful textural paper from the In Good Taste DSP (also coming on 3 Jun in the new catalog).  Take a look-see:

The color palette for this one is from the Global Design Project color challenge this week.

I started with a piece of stucco-looking paper from the new In Good Taste DSP (I can’t wait for you to get a good look at this paper in person – it’s amazing!) and began to build my “ink collage”.

In Blushing Bride, I stamped the wreath image from the Comfort & Hope set.  Then I started adding leaves in stamped-off-once Pretty Peacock and faceted gems (not real – stamped!) in full strength Pretty Peacock.

The grid pattern stamped image is done in Soft Sea Foam – as are the little dots. These are all images from Comfort & Hope!  I also added a couple of leaves in Soft Sea Foam.

Once all the stamping was done, I cut a Stitched Rectangle die from the middle of the panel and matted that die cut on Pretty Peacock.  I used Liquid Glue to adhere the remaining “frame” to a Pretty Peacock mat.  Then I popped the cut out back onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I tied a medium-sized simple bow with the gold trim from the new Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (available 3 Jun) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

On a piece of Whisper White, I stamped the sentiment from Comfort & Hope in Pretty Peacock.  I added a grid image and some dots in Soft Sea Foam, and a few “faceted gems” in Pretty Peacock.  Then I cut it out with the Timeless Label Punch.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, added a few Gold Metallic Pearls – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added a second sentiment in Pretty Peacock to a Whisper White panel.  Then I inked and stamped more collage images in Blushing Bride, Pretty Peacock and Soft Sea Foam.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Pretty Peacock mat and into my Gray Granite card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more collage elements on the front…

…and some of the In Good Taste DSP – stamped with Comfort & Hope images – on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love that this pretty Comfort & Hope set is so conducive to creating stamped collages!  The sentiments are also pretty perfect – especially for the times we’re in, huh?

And how cool does it look stamped on the In Good Taste DSP!??  I hope you like!
