Stampin’ Up! Ornate Garden Thanks Sneak Peek

Happy Happy Haawwwwmmmp DAY!!!  Hope you’re enjoying your Social Distancing.

Let me re-phrase.  I hope you are DOING your Social Distancing.

Seriously.  Do it! 😉

While you’re distancing yourself in our efforts to flatten the curve, I hope you’re doing some crafting.  And…looking forward to the cool Early Release of the Ornate Garden Suite.  It’s a new suite coming in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  And…Stampin’ Up! is letting us play with it early!  Demonstrators are already having fun with it – customers will get your chance on 1 April!

In an effort to fan the flames of your excitement – and also cuz it’s COOL!! – I played with the Ornate Style and Ornate Thanks Bundles, plus the gorgeous Ornate Garden DSP and Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder for today’s card.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from this week’s TGIF Challenge.

I started with a piece of the Ornate Garden DSP that I matted on Terracotta Tile for the card front.  Then I cut a smaller piece of Blushing Bride with the edge die in the Ornate Borders die set (which is bundled with the Ornate Thanks stamp set).

I embossed the die cut panel in the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

For the sentiment, I stamped the larger word from Ornate Thanks in Old Olive on a piece of Whisper White.  Above that, in Terracotta Tile, I added the smaller sentiment.  Isn’t that font wunnermus?  I love it!

I used the rectangle die in the Ornate Layers Dies (bundled with the Ornate Style set) to cut the sentiment.  Since the die is longer than I wanted my sentiment, I ran it thru my die cutting machine a couple of times to make it shorter.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I pulled out the Cherry Blossoms Dies and used the leaves cut-and-emboss dies to cut Mint Macaron and Old Olive Leaves.  With the flower dies from the Ornate Borders set, I cut some Blushing Bride and Whisper White flowers.  Then I adhered them into little flower stacks with Liquid Glue.

I laid out all the flowers and leaves and took my picture…

I used Liquid Glue to adhere all the leaves in place.  The flower stacks all have little pieces of Stampin’ Dimensional and Liquid Glue to adhere them.

I added a Gilded Gem (part of the Ornate Garden Suite) to the middle of each flower stack and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added another Ornate Thanks sentiment to a Whisper White panel in Old Olive.  I stamped a couple of the floruishes from Ornate Style in the corners in Terracotta Tile.  Across the bottom I adhered a Terracotta Tile mat and a strip of the Ornate Garden DSP.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Terracotta Tile mat and into my Blushing Bride card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got more Ornate Style flourishes in Terracotta Tile on the front…

…and more of the Ornate Garden DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this Ornate Garden Suite – the two bundles that anchor it – Ornate Style and Ornate Thanks – are wonderful and complement each other perfectly!

Add these elements to the Ornate Garden DSP – and you’ve got projects galore just waiting for you to create them!  I hope you like….and are counting the days until you can get this suite for yourself!
