Stampin’ Up! Grace’s Garden Sneak Peek

Good Monday morning, y’all!  Ready for the last full week before The Big Day?!?

Got your shopping done?

Baking?

Packaging?

Shipping?

No?

Me, neither.  But – we’ll get ‘er done, I just know it!  🙂

In an effort to keep things simple, I made a cute little stamping-only card for you today, showcasing a brand new – and WONDERFUL! – stamp set from the new 2020 Jan – Jun Mini Catalog….called Grace’s Garden.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was loosely (!) inspired by this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

And the color palette is from the Color Throwdown challenge.

I started with a piece of Whisper White card stock and the picket fence image from Grace’s Garden (which you’ll be able to get starting on 3 Jan!).  I inked the stamp with Sahara Sand ink – and stamped it off once on a sticky note before stamping my panel.

Next up is the tall flower image from the set.  First I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink over the side of the picket fence.

Remember the sticky note?  Well, I did a quick fussy cut of that fence image and then used that to create a “mask” over the image on the card front.  Then I stamped the flower image again in Tuxedo Black.  When I picked up the mask, my flowers were “behind” the fence! 🙂

I used my Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers to color the flowers and leaves.

Then I placed the panel into my Stamparatus and used it to stamp the Grace’s Garden sentiment over the fence image in Granny Apple Green.

I added a few Noble Peacock Rhinestones in pink (it’s actually Melon Mambo!).

Finally – I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and the card front was done!

On the inside, I gave a Whisper White panel the same stamped-off-once Sahara Sand picket fence and a second sentiment in Granny Apple Green.  Then I added two flower images in Tuxedo Black and colored them with my Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Markers.  I stuck on a few more Noble Peacock Rhinestones, too!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Granny Apple Green mat and into my Flirty Flamingo card base, stuck the card front on with more Liquid Glue and the card was done!

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got part of the stamped-off-once picket fence and a tall flower on the front…

…and again on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  I love love love the Grace’s Garden stamp set – and as awesome as just the stamp set is….it’s going to be available bundled with the wonderful Garden Gateway Dies….

Go ahead – put the whole bundle on your Wish List!!  I KNOW you like! 😉

Staring at his toys by the light of the Christmas Tree.

Wondering…Will Santa bring me any MORE toys?!?

He HAS been a VERY good boy this year… 😉

  1. I’ve got my eye on this set and can’t to see what else you create with it. I am so not ready for Christmas yet!

You will be! That’s how it works! Thanks much, Karen! 🙂

  2. Such a pretty card! Love the clean design. Poor Finn…he has almost no toys! It does look like there is space on the right side and just to the left of center for a few more things. Santa had better get at least 5 more toys. 😉

I know. I hope he gets at least ONE toy… 😉 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

Wow! I was on the fence about getting this stamp set. Maybe will be an early Birthday present in January:)
Thanks for the inspiration Mary! The stamped off image makes the flowers pop more….brilliant.
Happy Holidays to you, Wayne, and Finn!

Right? Wish I could grow a garden as easy as stamping one! Thanks!

Such a sweet and pretty card! Thanks so much for playing along at the Color Throwdown!

  6. This is so sweet! I love the flowers peeking from behind the fence. And I love that you carried it to the inside. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
