Stampin’ Up! Spooktacular Boo To You Sneak Peek!

Good morning!  Big day ahead for us Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators!  Yep – this is the day we can start getting registered for the November OnStage!  That’s one of two events we have each year where we get together to see old (and new!) friends, get a look at the next catalog (in this case – the 2020 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs), and …. get free goodies!  All in all – it’s a ton of fun and something we all look forward to attending (and is a HUGE benefit of being a demonstrator!!  This time, we’ve got one of the Local events right here in Atlanta!  Whoo-hooo!!!

But – before that happens, we’re all going to have a chance to play with some truly awesome goodies from the wunnermus 2019 Holiday Catalog – starting on 4 Sept!  The card I have for you today is another little Sneak Peek – this time from the Spooktacular Bash suite!  I used the Boo To You stamp set, some Monster Bash DSP and a little spider from the Wicked Dies to make a Halloween card!  Take a look-see:

Check out those goo-goo-googly eyes!! How fun are they?  🙂

The layout for this one is from the As You See It challenge…

And the color scheme is from the TGIF color challenge.

I started with two fun papers from the Monster Bash DSP – cobwebs above a bookshelf.  That seems pretty realistic to me! 😉  I matted the two pieces onto a Basic Black mat with Liquid Glue to make the card front.

Then I wrapped some new Basic Black 3/8″ Scalloped Lace Trim around the seam – securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

I cut a Whisper White circle with the largest circle Stitched Shapes Die and stamped the adorably frightful….uhm….Horn Monster?…on it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored it (him?  her?) with my Light and Dark Highland Heather and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  I also used a Terracotta Tile (horn dots) and Crushed Curry (teeth and toe-nails) Stampin’ Write Marker, too.  Then I popped him onto the card front with BLACK Stampin’ Dimensionals (these are brand new in the 2019 Holiday Catty – and you get regular and mini dimensionals in the pack!).  Be still my beating heart!! 😉

The sentiment – also from Boo To You – is stamped in Highland Heather on Whisper White and cut with one of the many (many!!) awesome frame dies in the new Ornate Frames Dies (this is bundled with the Spooktacular Bash stamp set for a not-scary 10% savings!).  I edged it with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and adhered it with Liquid Glue and a black dimensional.

I stamped the “Boo” from the second sentiment stamp in Boo To You three times in Granny Apple Green on Whisper White – then fussy cut them and edged them in Basic Black.  I adhered them ever-so-spookily around the spider webs with Liquid Glue.

I pulled out the Wicked Dies and cut 3 really cute little spiders from Basic Black and popped them all onto the card front with….BLACK Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The final – and most perfect touch of all! – is two perfect Googly Eyes in Granny Apple Green, adhered with Liquid Glue.

On the inside, I added a sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash stamp set in Highland Heather on a Whisper White panel.  Next to it is a Boo To You zombie-dude in Tuxedo Black.  He’s colored with Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.  His trousers are Terracotta Tile.  And then – a couple more Googly Eyes!!  Adding another little Wicked spider just seemed like the right thing to do!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Basic Black mat and into a Granny Apple Green card base, popped the card front on with BLACK Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the card was done!

The front of my Whisper White Medium Envelope got another zombie dude….

…and some more spider-webby Monster Bash DSP on the envelope flap!

Et Voila!  Okay, you guys – I really love the Halloween offerings in this Holiday Catalog!  I think the characters in Boo To You are so cute it’s ridiculous – and the Assorted Googly Eyes just make them POP!!  Add in the Spooktacular Bash and matching Ornate Frames Dies, some Monster Bash DSP and an assist frrom the Wonderfully Wicked bundle – and….you’ve got the makings of a Spooky Good Time this Halloween!  I hope you like!

If these look fun – I’d urge you to take a look at my Special Bundle #5 – the Wicked Good Fun Bundle!
