Stampin’ Up! Woven Rare Blessings for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s Hop is a color challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with –  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop!

I love the color combo for today’s challenge – and I know you will, too!  I decided to ink up a new set called Rare Blessings – and I combined it with a bit of Magnolia Lane DSP and a Woven Heirlooms sentiment  Take a look-see:

And – just in case it’s not totally obvious – here’s the color challenge we had!

I started with some appropriately-colored paper from the Magnolia Lane DSP and matted it on Petal Pink for the card front.

Next up is a piece of Basic Black card stock, embossed in the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, torn to size and adhered at a jaunty angle with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the big floral image from Rare Blessings in Tuxedo Black on Whisper White and cut it with a Rectangle Stitched Die.  Using the “splotch” image in the set, I added some Petal Pink around the top of the image and some Mossy Meadow around the bottom.  Then I colored the flowers with my Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and the leaves with my Light and Dark Mossy Meadow Blends.

I wrapped some Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo pack around the panel, securing it in the back with Glue Dots.

I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On another piece of Whisper White, I stamped a Rare Blessings sentiment in Mossy Meadow.  Over that I added the splotch image in Petal Pink.  Then I cut it with a small Rectangle Stitched Die.

I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Dimensionals.

I tied a double-length bow with the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.  A Pearl Basic Jewel finished off the card front.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from the Woven Heirlooms set in Mossy Meadow on a Whisper White panel.  Over top is some Rare Blessings splotches in Petal Pink.  I also added a smaller Rare Blessings flower in Tuxedo Black and colored it with my Blends.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Petal Pink mat and then into my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got another Rare Blessings flower and splotch on the front…

…and some more Magnolia Lane DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Rare Blessings is a truly lovely stamp set – and works so perfectly with the pretty paper from Magnolia Lane and the fonts/sentiments from Woven Heirlooms.  I hope you like!
