Stampin’ Up! Hearts Humming Along for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Hey y’all – it’s Thursday, so it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop!!  Today’s a sketch challenge – and I’m excited to see what everyone comes up with!  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop.

I decided to play with the beautiful flower in the new Humming Along stamp set and added a delicate heart die cut from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits, then set it atop a little Botanical Butterfly DSP.  Take a look-see:

And I decided to go pink-and-white for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge!

I started with some black and white paper from the Sale-A-Bration freebie – Botanical Butterfly DSP and matted it on Flirty Flamingo for the card front.

For the art, I stamped the big, bold flower from the Humming Along stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a square of Whisper White.  I colored the flower – just the flower, not the leaves – with my Dark and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.  I also used my Dark and Light Calypso Coral Blends – to add depth to the center of the flower.

I matted the panel on Flirty Flamingo and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Next up is a pretty heart cut with the Be Mine Stitched Framelits from Petal Pink card stock.  I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from Humming Along in Flirty Flamingo on Whisper White and cut it with a Rectangle Stitched Framelits die.  I added a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back and used them to wind some Rose Metallic Thread around several times.

I popped the sentiment over the heart and then added a Petal Pink Frosted Flower – to which I added a Share What You Love Artisan Pearl and the card front was done!

On the inside, I added several leaves from Humming Along in Tuxedo Black to a Whisper White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and into my Petal Pink card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Whisper White Medium Envelope got a few Humming Along leaves on the front…

…and more of the Botanical Butterfly DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I really really love the pink/white/black color scheme, don’t you!?  That beautiful Humming Along flower – pretty sure it’s a petunia? – is perfect for it, don’t you think?!  Perfectly paired with a pretty petite heart from the Be Mine Stitched Framelits!  I hope you like!
