Happy President’s Day, y’all! If this is a holiday for you – I hope you enjoy the time! If not…well…I hope you have a great day at work!
Today’s card is another sneak peek – one that you’ll get to see (and get your hands on!) on 3 March. But…it’s a stand-alone set and…you MIGHT miss it! It’s the Ready Set Go stamp set – and…it’s really cute! I paired it here – rather unexpectedly! – with some – also new! – Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP to make a fun Birthday card. Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!
I did a quick video on how to make this card – which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by stamping the “ground” image from the Ready Set Go set in Tuxedo Black all over a 2 1/4″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Gray Granite paper from the Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP.
All over the top portion of a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the double-flag image from Ready Set Go set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the DSP panel to the bottom of the Basic White panel.
Across the seam, I laid a length of new Gray Granite 1/4″ Variegated Trim (coming on 3 March as a new Online Exclusive) securing it in the back with Glue Dots.
I matted the panel on Poppy Parade cardstock using Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the two cars from the set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
I colored the cars with the Dark Smoky Slate, Dark Daffodil Delight, Light & Dark Azure Afternoon and Light & Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
Then I took a a deep breath and fussy cut both cars. I did a “hard” cut – meaning I did NOT leave a white edge around the image.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the yellow car – tucking it slightly under the ribbon. Then I added the blue car with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Ready Set Go sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored the “happy” with the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend.
I cut out the sentiment with a Stylish Shapes banner die and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some Poppy Parade Dear Dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the front-facing Ready Set Go car at the bottom of a Basic White panel, then I added the flags next to it. I colored the car with the Dark Smoky Slate, Dark Daffodil Delight and Light & Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the yellow car on the front…
…and more of the Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP – covered with Ready Set Go flags! – on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! So – if you’ve got a card-guy (or a car-gal!) in your life – then Ready Set Go is the stamp set for you! I think it’s pretty awesome for those hard-to-make masculine cards, don’t you think?! And – don’t forget the “other” side of our pretty designer papers – like our Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP! You never know what you’ll find to do with it!
I hope you like this fun little stamp set – and have added this (and the DSP, too, duh!) to your gotta-get-it list for 3 March! 🙂

Often, when I get done with my video on a Saturday evening – or a Zoom on Thursday evening – I return to the living room to find…
Someone in my chair.
When I asked her what she was doing – exactly….
This is all I got.
As she fully expected – I sat down on the sofa and finished my work – leaving her to her beauty sleep.
