Good morning everyone! Welcome to this month’s Fun Fold Blog Hop for Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators! We’ve got a talented line-up and…I think you’re going to like what you see! This is a once-a-month hop and…all our cards will be fun folds!! How cool is that?!?
I went back to a cool fun fold that I haven’t done for a minute – it’s a Tri-Fold Hidden Door card – and this one is decorated with gorgeous Brushed With Beauty DSP. I also used some sweet die cuts and images from the Springtime Scenes bundle, too. Take a look-see:
I started with a 5 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock that I scored and folded at 4 1/4″ on the long side.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere a 2 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of pretty Brushed With Beauty DSP to the front panel of the card base – and a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece to the back panel.
Then I created the tri-fold hidden door element. I cut a 3 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Early cardstock and scored it at 2″, 3″, 5 1/2″ and 8″. Then I folded it:
I used Liquid Glue to adhere a 1 7/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Brushed With Beauty DSP to the front panel (Calypso Coral), a 7/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece to the narrow inside panel (striped) and 2 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ pieces to the three same-size panels (florals).
On a 2 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the leaf image from the Springtime Scenes twice in Mossy Meadow ink. I adhered it to the inside of the tri-fold piece with Liquid Glue.
Then I adhered the tri-fold element into the card base.
First, using Liquid Glue – I adhered the front panel of the tri-fold element to the front of the card base – aligning the 2″ fold with the edge of the card base.
Then I folded the tri-fold panel and, using Liquid Glue on the back – adhered it to the back panel of the card base. I made a video (with different cardstock so you can see it a little easier) on how to do this!
Here’s how it looks.
Then I decorated the front of the card base!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere a 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ piece of Calypso Coral Brushed With Beauty DSP to a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock.
Using the die in the Springtime Scenes set, I cut out a Mossy Meadow leafy circle and used Liquid Glue to adhere it to the matted panel.
On a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the Springtime Scenes sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and used the label die from the set to cut it out.
Then I used the dies in the set to cut out some foliage:
– Two solid leaves from Old Olive cardstock.
– Two detailed leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock. Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the detailed leaves to the solid leaves.
– Two Petal Pink cardstock large flowers and one Calypso Coral Brushed With Beauty DSP large flower.
– One Petal Pink cardstock small flower and two Calypso Coral Brushed With Beauty DSP small flowers. I adhered the small flowers to the large flowers with Liquid Glue.
I adhered the two leaves with Liquid Glue, then popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals – I added the flowers.
I added some Pearls of Beauty – to the flower centers and to the panel.
Using Liquid Glue on the left side of the panel, I adhered it to the front panel of the tri-fold element and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Springtime Scenes leaves on the front…
…and more of the Brushed With Beauty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Springtime Scenes bundle is that happy balance between beautiful and cute (check out the die cut ladybug – didn’t even use that on this card!) and is really a sweet addition to your toolbox. The Brushed With Beauty DSP is so stinkin’ beautiful – it really speaks for itself. And this cool Tri-Fold Hidden Panel card gives you plenty of real-estate to showcase it!

What a gorgeous card, as always, Mary. I really like how you and Tara used the same die yet have totally different cards, both of which are beautiful. Now, I have to add this die set, at the very least, to my cart.
