Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I thought it would be fun to play with the Delicate Whispers bundle (re-stocking 23 Mar) and coordinating Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP (re-stocking 27 April) – so…I did! I used it to make a pretty, neutral-toned thank you card. Take a look-see:

And I also grabbed some elements from the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge this week! I went down the left column (circles – layering – Neutral Colors).
I started by adhering a 4 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP to a 4 1/4″ x 4 5/8″ piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock using Liquid Glue – then adhered it to the front of my Crumb Cake card base using more Liquid Glue.
I cut out a Crumb Cake circle using the largest Stylish Shapes circle die and embossed it in the Stone & Vine 3D Embossing Folder.
I adhered the circle to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the grass image from Delicate Whispers twice in Early Espresso ink and cut them out with the coordinating die in the set.
I used the Delicate Whispers dies to cut out some foliage:
– One “right-leaning” leaf bough from Mossy Meadow cardstock
– Three small boughs from Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper
Starting with the stamped and die cut grasses, I adhered the die cuts to the circle using Liquid Glue. I added the Mossy Meadow leaf with Liquid Glue, then tucked the three small boughs in here and there, securing them with Liquid Glue.
Using two lengths of Very Vanilla Baker’s Twine – I tied a simple bow and adhered it with a Mini Glue Dot.
On a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped a Delicate Whispers sentiment in Early Espresso ink and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner die.
I adhered the sentiment over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then I added five Mossy Meadow Natural Matte Dots and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the Delicate Whispers grass image in Early Espresso ink – stamping it twice without re-inking. Then I added another Mossy Meadow Natural Matte Dot.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Crumb Cake card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Delicate Whispers grass image in Early Espresso ink – stamped twice without re-inking – on the front…
…and more of the Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I do love the Delicate Dreams Specialty DSP (back in stock 27 April) – the colors are wonderful. This pattern is especially subtle and understated – which is sorta perfect! The coordinating Delicate Whispers bundle (back in stock 23 March) works with the DSP perfectly – bringing all that wunnermus foliage that you know I love so much!
