Stampin’ UP! Filled with Homemade Sweetness Sneak Peek Floating Tent Fold Thanks With Video

Good morning and happy Fri-YAY!  A full work-week – done and done!  Pat yourselves on the back!  I hope you’ve got something fun planned for the weekend – we’re headed south to attend a 2nd birthday party.  I call THAT something fun! 🙂

Today’s card is ALSO fun – and it happens to be a fun fold!  It’s a floating tent card – and I decorated it with some Homemade Sweetness DSP and the coordinating Filled With Sweetness sentiments and die cuts!  These are ALL new – coming next week on 3 March in the next Online Exclusives release.  Take a look-see:

I started with a basic Pecan Pie tent card – 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored and folded at 5 1/2″.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of new Homemade Sweetness DSP to the front of the card base.  Note: I made sure to get glue all over the DSP panel (versus my usual of just putting it around the edges) so that it was ready for the next step.

Using the second-from-largest Branching Out die, I cut from the center of the card front (right thru the DSP) to make a window.

Then I went ahead and folded the card.  On the inside, I adhered another piece of the Homemade Sweetness DSP with more Liquid Glue.

For the. back of the card (it’s easier to put that on before you assemble the fun fold), I stamped a Filled With Sweetness sentiment in Night of Navy ink on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock.  At the bottom, I stamped the strawberry and blueberries from the set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored them with the Light and Dark Strawberry Slush, Blueberry Bushel and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends – plus the Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blend (the centers of the blueberry stems).

I adhered the panel to the back of the card with Liquid Glue.

Then I made the “accordion” piece that sets this card apart.  Using my Paper Trimmer, I scored a 4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock – along the short side – at 1/2″, 1 1/4″, 2″, 2 3/4″ and 3 1/2″.  I folded and burnished each of the score lines – making it into an accordion.

Using Liquid Glue on the two ends – I adhered the accordion to the inside bottoms of the card base.

To decorate the floating panel, I used scissors to cut out a couple of jars and a honey bottle from the Homemade Sweetness DSP.  I adhered them to the Branching Out die cut with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped a Filled With Sweetness sentiment in Night of Navy ink and cut it out with a Filled With Sweetness label die.

I adhered the sentiment to the panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To create the “float” – I scored a 1 1/2″ x 2″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock at 3/4″ on the short side and folded it in half.  With Liquid Glue – I adhered the little piece to the top of the die cut panel.

Then I put Liquid Glue on the other side of the “hinge” and – with the card closed – set the panel back into the “window”, adhering the hinge to the back of the cardbase.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped two Filled With Sweetness strawberries and one blueberry in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored them with the Stampin’ Blends and cut them out with the coordinating dies in the set.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the die cut fruit to the card front.

I added some more Strawberry Slush dots from the Strawberries & Dots pack and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Filled With Sweetness fruit on the front..,

…and more Homemade Sweetness DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  What a fun fold!  It’s just different enough to be cool, don’t you think!?  And I really like the cuteness overload of the Homemade Sweetness DSP – love those fussy cut jelly jars and honey bottle!  The coordinating Filled With Sweetness bundle is the perfect complement – it’s got the pretty fruits – a fun jar to stamp and cut out – and several pretty label dies!  You’re going to want them when they’re out available next week!
