Good morning, y’all It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table. I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I picked the Paradise Garden bundle – the pretty flowers and leaves seemed just right for the sketch today – and the coordinating Garden Poetry DSP. This is all part of the Garden Poetry Suite – coming in the Online Exclusives releasing on 3 March! I used it all to make a pretty thank you card – take a look-see:
And – here’s our sketch!
I also played along with the Tic Tac Toe challenge! I went down the right column – Pink – Sentiment Strip – Patterned Paper!
I did a quick video on how to make this card – which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by adhering a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of new Garden Poetry DSP to a Daffodil Delight mat for the card front.
Then I embossed a 2 1/2″ x 3 7/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock in the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder. Note: like all Hybrid Embossing folders, this one is designed to work with a full-size die in the Paradise Garden die set – but…I didn’t need to use it for this card! 🙂
I matted the embossed panel on Daffodil Delight and adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock:
– I stamped two flowers (a small one and a single flower with stem) from the Paradise Garden set in Daffodil Delight ink.
– I stamped two leaves in Misty Moonlight ink – the first in full strength and then I stamped it again without re-inking.
– Finally, I inked the large leaf from the set in Blackberry Bliss ink and used a Small Blending Brush to dab-dab-dab the ink (sort of reducing the intensity). Then I stamped it on the white cardstock.
I used the coordinating dies in the set to cut out all the flowers and leaves.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the foliage to the card front – starting with the top Daffodil Delight flowers (it’s one with a stem), then adding the Blackberry Bliss leaf and the two Misty Moonlight leaves.
Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a loop-d-loop of new Berry Burst 1/4″ Shiny Ribbon (part of the Paradise Garden suite and available on 3 March 2026).
On a piece of the Garden Poetry DSP, I stamped the Paradise Garden sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink. Then I cut it out with the banner die in the set.
I adhered the sentiment banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the final Daffodil Delight flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some new Garden Epoxy Dots (another element in the suite!) to the flower middles and the card front and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped a second Paradise Garden sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on a Basic White panel. Then I stamped the little flower in Daffodil Delight. And I added a Garden Epoxy Dot cuz they’re cute! 😎
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Berry Bliss card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the small Paradise Garden flower on the front…
…and more of the Garden Poetry DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! The Garden Poetry DSP is so pretty – with foliage on one side and pretty watercolory print on the other! And the coordinating Paradise Garden bundle – with the pretty Hybrid Embossing Folder – and sentiments and die cuts galore! – is a wonderful addition to your stamping stash!
I hope you like this fun little stamp set – and have added this to your gotta-get-it list for 3 March! 🙂
