Stampin’ UP! CAS Brushed Friendly Foliage Thinking of You Card

Happy Monday, y’all!  We’re enjoying a few days of sun and pretty weather – cool enough for a jacket but…not bad at all!  We’ve got the barn opened all the way back up – Cady is too hot again – there’s no middle ground for her in the winter – she’s comfortable (when we have our covers on) or sweating (when our toes, fingers and noses aren’t frozen!). 🤷‍♀️

My card today is a CASE of a pretty card I saw on Pinterest – from Australian demonstrator Nancy Hoetker!  I loved it, so…did my own take on it.  It features two of my favorite Online Exclusives  – the Friendly Foliage bundle and Brushed With Beauty DSP.  Take a look-see:

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card –  which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

This one is super easy so…buckle up!

I started by adhering a piece of Petal Pink paper from the Brushed With Beauty DSP to the front of a Petal Pink card base using Liquid Glue.

On a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock, I stamped the Friendly Foliage image in Pecan Pie ink.

There are two dies in the set that work with this image.  If you use BOTH of them at the same time – they’ll fully cut the image from your cardstock.  But – if you just use the INSIDE die…

…then…it gives the look you see here!  I placed that die over the image – lining everything up – and ran it thru my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

Then I used a bunch of Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the panel to the card front.

I tied a bow from two lengths of Early Espresso Linen Thread and adhered it to the card front with a Glue Dot.  Tip – I put the glue dot into one of the negative spaces so the bow would be below the level of the Pecan Pie panel.

On a piece of Petal Pink cardstock, I stamped the Friendly Foliage sentiment in Pecan Pie ink.  Then I cut out the sentiment with the smallest Textured Notes die.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the bow.

I added three Early Espresso Earthy Matte Dots (I LOVE these!) and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped two leaves from the Friendly Foliage set in Pecan Pie ink in the corner of a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Petal Pink card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Friendly Foliage leaves on the front…

…and more of the Brushed With Beauty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  The Friendly Foliage bundle has been one of my faves from the minute I saw it – and…I think you can see why!  Such a versatile die set – with stamps and sentiments to go along with!  And the Brushed With Beauty DSP is…just…stunning!

Just checking that the little monster didn’t leave a morsel or a smidgen in her dish.

Spioler – she did not!
