Good morning, y’all, on this last day of the week! October is in full swing – Fall is upon us (we had the windows and doors open ALL day yesterday!). All. Day! And I was actually CHILLY when I went out to feed in the morning. Whoo-hoo!
My thank you card today is an ode to the arrival of Fall! It uses the beautiful Online Exclusive Gathering Moments bundle and coordinating Gathering Together DSP – and it’s a super cool fun fold, too – which is good since it’s part of our fun fold challenge this week! Take a look-see:
You’ll see this card – along with the other Design Team members’ cards – at this month’s Creative Creases Challenge! 😎. We’re ALWAYS wanting to see pretty fun folds so…I hope hope hope you’ll make one (or three!) and come share them with us! 🙂
I started with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock that I scored on the long side at 1 1/4″ and 6 3/4″. I folded both score lines “in” – burnishing them well with a Bone Folder.
I matted two beautiful pieces of Gathering Together DSP on Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper and adhered them to each side of the end panel of the card base (the 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″) end.
I matted another – narrow – piece of the DSP on the Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper and adhered it to the top panel, too.
On the inside, I used the big beautiful die from the Amber Autumn Die set (in the Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog) to cut from a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock, I matted the resulting panel onto an Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper mat and then to the inside of the card base.
For the easel panel – I cut a 1 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock. Then I decorated it with more Gathering Together DSP matted on Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the easel to the top panel of the card base – aligning the top edges.
I made the back panel next. On a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped a Gathering Moments sentiment in Cajun Craze. Then I stamped a leaf over the top in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry.
Then I adhered it to the back of the card base with Liquid Glue.
I made the easel stop by adhering a piece of Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper to the inside panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals – situating it so that the card will stand pretty upright when it’s in place.
On Basic White cardstock, I stamped Gathering Moments leaves and berries in Pecan Pie ink, stamped-off-once Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze inks and then cut them out with their matching dies.
I stood the easel up and, using Liquid Glue, adhered the leaves to the easel stop.
Using the two large leaf dies (the outline dies and the embossing dies) – I cut out one from the Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper and the second from a piece of dark wood-grain Gathering Together DSP.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere them to the easel panel,
I tied a simple bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
On a piece of Gathering Together DSP, I stamped another sentiment from Gathering Moments in Cajun Craze ink and popped it over the bow with double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added three Cajun Craze & Gold Dots and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Gathering Moments leaf in stamped-off-once Crushed Curry on the front…
…and more of the wood-grain Gathering Together DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Okay – this is a super SUPER cool – fun – and easy! – fun fold! I love it – and hope that you do, too, and will give it a go! Decorated with the Gathering Moments die cuts and coordinating Gathering Together DSP – plus that beautiful lacy die cut from Amber Autumn – this card has FALL written all over it!
