Stampin’ UP! Christmas Greetings Joyful Tidings Card

Happy Monday, y’all!  Hope your weekend was awesome – and…that your week looks to be a good one!

My card today is a clean and simple little number that owes it’s prettiness to the new Joyful Tidings stamp set.  And…a card front made from the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Specialty Card (and I used the matching envelope, too!).  Everyday Arches dies let me frame the whole thing easy peasy.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by cutting down one of the Garden Green card bases in the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes and adhered it to the front of a Very Vanilla card base using Liquid Glue.

I placed two Everyday Arches dies – the 7th and the 9th – together on a Very Vanilla panel and ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

I kept the resulting frame for another use and used Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere the larger portion of the panel to the front of the card base.

On the remaining arched piece, I stamped the bough image from Joyful Tidings in Garden Green ink.  Then I added two sentiments in Cherry Cobbler!

I added some Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-backed Berries to the wreath.

Then I adhered the arch into position using Foam Adhesive Strips and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Joyful Tidings bough again in Garden Green on a Very Vanilla panel.  Using a Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend, I added “berries” to the wreath.  Then I stamped another sentiment from the set in Cherry Cobbler ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Very Vanilla card base and the card was done.

The coordinating envelope – from the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes, got the stamped Joyful Tidings wreath on the front…

…and the envelope is already decorated with the same Garden Green plaid as the card base!!

Et Voila!  The Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes are SOOO pretty!!  You get them in Garden Green (and gold) and in Crumb Cake (and gold!) – and the front AND back are the same – so…you could make two cards like this with each card base!  The Garden Green is so pretty on this card with the Joyful Tidings – but the Crumb Cake base would be wonderful, too!

Such a pretty card! Love the framing around your focal panel. Beautiful! And I can’t believe how little she is…I don’t know which one is which, but she’s smaller than a cat! 😂🐶

    • stampsnlingers

She is QUITE little, for sure!! And – she’s about like a cat when she gets on my lap! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

Beautiful Christmas card! I love how you’ve used the arch as negative space – so clever! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  6. Bonnie K Kramer

I copied your card but I think you gave us the wrong arch die sizes. You said 9 and 7. That can’t be right. There is very little space between 7 and 9. You can barely see the DSP behind it. So, I tried again using arch dies 9 and 6. Much better. Also, I used the Traditions of Christmas DSP because I didn’t have what you used. Both of our cards are really special. Thanks for the inspiration!! Happy Holidays.

Thanks, Bonnie – and sorry for amy errors. Glad you were able to figure it out! Happy Holidays to you, too! 🙂
