Stampin’ Up! CAS Delicate Pines Christmas Words Christmas Card

Well – it’s Monday again.  And – I was NOT one of the two winners of the big lottery (I know – you’re as shocked as I am).  So – looks like I’d best be canceling that three year cruise, huh?!  LOL!!  Oh well – if I was on a cruise ship for three years – how could I make cards?! 🤷‍♀️

Like…today’s card!  This one features my so-loved Delicate Pines bundle and Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP.  And – some pretty tone-on-tone texture from the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid Embossing Folder!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started by embossing a Basic White cardstock panel in the new Christmas Words Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Tip: I started with a panel a little bigger than I wanted – embossed it – and then cut it down to its final size of 3 3/4″ x 5″.  Then I matted it on a piece of Gold Foil sheet for the card front.

Using Glue Dots – I adhered a new Large Gold Hoop to the card front.  I placed them in the upper right quadrant of the hoop – where they’re covered by the collage.

Using Stampin’ Seal+, I adhered a loop-d-loop bow of Gold Striped 3/8″ Mesh Ribbon.

I cut out a large snowflake from the Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP using a die in the Delicate Pines die set.

Using some Stampin’ Dimensionals near the center of the snowflake, I adhered it over the ribbon.

I cut out some Gold Foil pine boughs – the large two-ended boughs – and cut them in half.  I also cut out a Shaded Spruce leaf.

I slid three of the boughs and the leaf into the collage – adhering them with Liquid Glue.

On a 1/2″ wide strip of Basic White, I stamped a Delicate Pines sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink.

Using scissors, I trimmed the sentiment strip down to size and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added five Cherry Cobbler Faceted Snowflakes and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Delicate Pines sentiment in Shaded Spruce on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped the gorgeous pine bough from the set in stamped-off-once Shaded Spruce in the bottom corner.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Shaded Spruce card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Delicate Pines bough in stamped-off-once Shaded Spruce on the front…

…and more of the Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila! Oh my goodness – I love this suite soooo much!  The Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP is a wonderful place to start – and it works hand-in-hand with the Delicate Pines bundle – so many pine bough snowflakes in the DSP can be cut with the dies PLUS you get lots of stand-alone foliage dies, too! And – I’m also pretty enamored with the Christmas Words Collage Hybrid EF – this is perfect by itself – OR you can add the die that comes with it to cut out ALL those embossed sentiments!  Boom!
