Stampin’ UP! Spooky Sweet Halloween Treat Card for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Halloween Fun!  Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I pulled out the cute Spooky Halloween bundle and coordinating Spooky Sweet Specialty DSP to make my tribute to Halloween Fun!  Take a look-see:

And – thanks to the Spooky Sweet Specialty DSP – and the die cuts that are part of the paper pack – it’s super easy!

I started by matting two pieces of the DSP on Petunia Pop – and then adhering the smaller panel to the larger to make the card front.  I adhered the card front to the front of my Basic Black card base using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using scissors, I snipped out the too-cute trick-or-treating flamingo from one of the designs in the Spooky Sweet Specialty DSP paper pack.  I didn’t bother with her legs – sorry Fanny (that’s her name –  Fanny Flamingo!  I just made that up) – since I knew that her bottom half would be covered up!

I adhered her with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – letting her hang off the left side just a smidge (that’s why I adhered the card front so early – so I’d know where to place her!).

On another piece of the Spooky Sweet Specialty DSP, I stamped the Spooky Halloween sentiment in Petunia Pop ink.  I cut it out with the large Stylish Shapes banner die – cheating the sentiment to the right side of the banner.

I adhered the banner to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals – letting it fall off the RIGHT side of the card front.

I adhered the little trick-or-treating die cut crow – he’s one of the die cuts that are included in the Spooky Sweet Specialty DSP pack – with Liquid Glue – and a Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensional.

You can see that the Fanny’s treat bag is layered on top of the sentiment – I popped it up with a Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensional, too.

I used the Spooky Halloween die to cut out a Basic Black bat – which I adhered to the other end of the banner with Liquid Glue and a Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensional.

I added three Petunia Pop Shimmer Star Foam Stickers and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped two Spooky Halloween sentiments – one in Tuxedo Black and one in Petunia Pop – on a Basic White panel.  I also stamped the cute bat image in Tuxedo Black.  And – I adhered some candy corn die cuts – from the Spooky Sweet Specialty DSP pack – across the bottom with Liquid Glue.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Basic Black card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Spooky Halloween bats on the front…

Et Voila!  Well – the fun Spooky Sweet DSP is a super starting spot for your Halloween cards – with two sheets of spooky-fun die cuts and cool papers for your spookiest projects!  The images – sentiments – and die cuts from the Spooky Halloween bundle are fun and cute.  And..not really all that danged spooky!  Just sayin’! 😉
