Good morning! It’a Tuesday and T-1 to the release of the new Sep-Dec 2025 Mini Catalog AND the Sept 2025 Online Exclusives AND TWO new Kits in our Kits collection! So…I know you’re excited!! 🎉🎉🎉
Today’s card is all about Fall – with the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder taking centerstage with a little help from the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder and the Perfectly Pears bundle! Take a look-see:
I pulled this embossing folder out thanks to the Four Seasons theme challenge this month!
I started by embossing an Early Espresso cardstock panel in the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of an Early Espresso card base with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Next, I embossed a 4″ x 4″ piece of Early Espresso Two-Toned cardstock in the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder. I scraped my Versamark Ink Pad across the raised portions of the panel – then sprinkled it with Copper Metallics WOW! Embossing Powder and heat set it with the Heat Tool.
When it was cool, I used a craft sander to rough up the embossing – sanding until I started to see some of the white show thru.
Using a Small Blending Brush, I colored over the panel with Early Espresso ink. Then I tore all four edges – down to about 3 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. I rolled parts of the torn edge and lightly crinkled the panel to further distress it.
I adhered the panel to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a bow with two lengths of new White & Gold Baker’s Twine (get this tomorrow!!) and adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped the Perfectly Pears sentiment in Early Espresso ink.
I cut it out with the larger sentiment die from the Perfectly Pears die set and adhered it over the bow with double-stacked Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added three new Streaked Dots (also available tomorrow – 3 Sept!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a leaf stem from Perfectly Pears in Early Espresso ink on a Basic Beige panel. Then I added the little splatters image a few times in Pecan Pie ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Early Espresso card base and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Perfectly Pears stem and splatters on the front…
…and I stamped it again on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Well – I didn’t think the Sunflower 3D Embossing could get any prettier but…I was wrong! Embossing it in copper took it to whole new level!! And I love it all distressed and vintage-y, don’t you? The embossing from the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder is such a wonderful way to quietly add organic texture and dimension to projects – I just love it. And the Perfectly Pears bundle is pretty wonderful for adding a nice sentiment and little foliage when you need it!
I hope you like!

Such a pretty card! Love the embossed sunflower image, it’s stunning! And I can’t wait to hear how you’ll spend your gazillion dollars… 😉 The puppies look thrilled to be there. 😂
They liked the ride – well, Finn did, for sure. Addy shook the whole way – I don’t know why. Need LOTS more rides that just go and come back. No vet. No groomer. No nothing! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Dear Mary, you’re already gazillionaires in every way that matters – Puppy love. Pony love. work you love. people who love YOU. a little piece of earth to call your own. Each other.
Which is NOT to say a few extra ducats wouldn’t make it all better! Good luck with the lottery! GREAT card,BTW. It’s amazing to see how many ways one can use a simple embossing folder.
This is one of the best embossing folders EVER! And yes – I am already rich – but…One BIIIIILLLION dollars wouldn’t go amiss!! LOL! Thanks, Linda! 🙂
Absolutely awesome and love how you finished the inside & coordinating envelope! Well done! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Four Seasons challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
