Good morning and happy Friday! Hope you’ve got something fun planned for the weekend! And that the week has been a good one.
My card today is a bit of OLD (two classic card making techniques) and NEW – it showcases the stunning new Etched Autumn stamp set – coming on 3 Sept as a new Online Exclusive. It’s got a sentiment – on a cool die cut leaf shape – from the Gathering Moments bundle. And – the workhorse of this Triple Time stamping card – the new Branching Out die set. Take a look-see:
My autumnal color palette is from The Paper Players color challenge this week!
I started by using a fave coloring technique called…the baby wipe technique.
I laid a basic baby wipe flat on a slick surface – an open stamp case works perfectly here. Using ink refills – I dropped drops of ink all over the wipe – starting with Pumpkin Pie – this was the preponderance of the color I used. When I had a bunch of Pumpkin Pie all over the baby wipe – I came in with the Cajun Craze Ink Refill. I dropped the Cajun Craze between the Pumpkin Pie drops – but did much less of this color. The final color – Blackberry Bliss – got just a few drops here and there. See the video for how to ink your baby wipe!
I placed the new Etched Autumn stamp – available on 3 Sept – straight down onto the colored wipe and pressed it down gently to ink it well. Then I stamped it on a Very Vanilla panel. I held the stamp on the card stock for a few beats to allow the color to transfer well.
Then I trimmed the panel down to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ for the card front.
Now – let me tell you from the jump – in the video – I made the whole triple time piece look…So…Stinkin’. Hard! And it…is actually…So…Stinkin’…EASY! So – I’ve got some photos that will help – and my mea culpa for making something easy into something hard! Guess it’s my super-power!
I started by placing the Branching Out die # 2 and die #5 together – centered on the card front – using a sticky note to hold them in place – and running the whole thing thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine at the same time.
For the mats, I placed the Branching Out dies #1 and #4…
…on a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Old Olive cardstock and ran it all thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine at the same time.
Using Liquid Glue – I adhered the stack together – starting with the 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Old Olive cardstock at the bottom – and adding each successively smaller piece – alternating mat and card front – until all the pieces were adhered together.
I tied a double-loop bow using Old Olive Linen Thread (this will be available on 3 Sept!!!) and adhered it with a Glue Dot.
I inked just the word “Thanks” from the Gathering Moments stamp set (coming on 3 Sep 2025!) in Blackberry Bliss ink. I covered the other word with a sticky note (just in case it had some ink on it) and stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Using a Gathering Moments leaf die – I cut out the sentiment.
Using a Glue Dot – and double-stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment over the bow.
I added some new Cajun Craze & Gold Dots (part of the Online Exclusives coming on 3 Sept 2025) and the card front was done.
For the inside, I stamped a second Gathering Moments sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink on a Very Vanilla panel. In the corner, I stamped a small leaf from Gathering Moments – using the colored baby wipe as my “ink pad”.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Cajun Craze card base, popped the triple-time card front onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Gathering Moments leaf on the front…
…and I stamped a different Gathering Moments leaf on the envelope flap, too.
Et Voila! Oh my goodness – I am totally in love with the Sketched Autumn stamp – and using the baby wipe stamping technique is…perfect with it! The triple time worked beautifully – when i did it the smart way! 🤦♀️ – and is such fun. I keep forgetting how much I like the effect! Gathering Moments is gorgeous – isn’t it fun to have the sentiment in a die cut leaf?! And..Branching Out. Well – what’s there to say about this except…you NEED to have this bundle in the top 3 of your Gotta-Get-These-First list for 3 Sept!!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS COMING UP!

The 2025 back-to-school sales tax holiday season begins this weekend and there are twelve states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ohio, South Caroling, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia) offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July and August. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.” Click the table below to open the chart and see what is available and when! 🙂
Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! DURING the tax holiday period to receive these items tax-free. Also, keep in mind that this is a STATE SALES TAX holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

For all y’all that live in Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, and Wisconsin…sorry! Those states suspended the sales tax holiday again this year. 🙁
