Stampin’ Up! Triple Time Prairie Grass Sympathy Card with Video

Good morning and happy Friday!  Ready for a weekend??!  Me, too!  But – while you’re doing those end-of-week things and getting ready to “cut loose”! – be sure to take advantage of the LAST day for FREE SHIPPING on your orders over $75!  Double check those basics – cardstock, adhesives, envelopes!! – and get your stash filled up while Stampin’ UP! is paying for the shipping! 😉

My card today uses a stamp set that – if you don’t already have it! – you need to add to your cart today!  It’s the Prairie Grass set – from the Online Exclusives.  I used it – and the Textured Notes dies (add THESE, too!) – to make a very cool Triple Time Stamping sympathy card.  Take a look-see:

Right?! Secret Sea (my fave new In Color) and white – classic, simple, stunning!

And – it’s easy!

I started by placing two stamps from the Prairie Grass set on one acrylic block (Clear Block F, to be specific).  I snugged the sentiment right up to the grass image.

I inked both stamps with the Versamark Ink pad and stamped them on a Secret Sea panel.  Note – edge the images towards the left side of the panel – so that the sentiment is close to the center of the panel.

I sprinkled the images with white Embossing Powder from the Basics WOW Embossing Powder pack.  Y’all – if you do NOT have the new embossing powders – the WOW packs – you really do want them.  This white is WHITE!! 🤙

I shook off the excess powder and heat set it using the Heat Tool.

When the powder had cooled – I placed the next-to-largest and third-from-largest Textured Notes dies in place and ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere all three resulting pieces on Basic White mats.

Using Stampin’ Dimensionals – I adhered the middle stack and then the smallest stack to the large matted frame panel and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped the large grass image from the Prairie Grass set in Secret Sea ink on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Secret Sea card base, adhered the card front with Liquid Glue and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the large Prairie Grass image on the front…

…and a smaller Prairie Grass image on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Wow – this Prairie Grass set has FAST become one of my all-time faves.  None of us ever WANT to need a sympathy card but…we all know that’s unrealistic.  So…it’s wonderful to have a tool like this perfect stamp set to make these cards!  But – change the sentiments (find one from anohter stamp set) and…you could make this into a card for ANY occasion!  And – the Textured Notes dies make FAST work of the Triple Time Stamping AND add cool texture to your layers, too!  BOOM!

BACK-TO-SCHOOL SALES TAX HOLIDAYS COMING UP!

The 2025 back-to-school sales tax holiday season begins this weekend and there are twelve states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Ohio, South Caroling, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia) offering a sales tax holiday for school supplies during the months of July and August. Products that are eligible according to the statute include “items normally used by students in a standard classroom for educational purposes.”  Click the table below to open the chart and see what is available and when! 🙂

Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! DURING the tax holiday period to receive these items tax-free. Also, keep in mind that this is a STATE SALES TAX holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

For all y’all that live in Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, New Jersey, and Wisconsin…sorry!  Those states suspended the sales tax holiday again this year. 🙁

Such a pretty card! I haven’t done Triple Time Stamping in ages, I think I may play with this technique again soon.
Finn and Addy, so darn cute, they make me smile. 😁❤️

Looks like a beautiful road to walk along.
Dogs are so lucky, and so are the humans.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks – we enjoy that time of the day! 🙂

  5. Laurie

I like to emboss but every time I use an embossing buddy for non static it leaves a residue that discolors the cardstock. How do I get around that? I love the look of embossing and your card is beautiful!

    • stampsnlingers

Hey Laurie – Thanks very much! That’s the cornstarch inside the little pouch and it’s what keeps the embossing powder from sticking. SO…do your embossing – let it cool – then the white powder should really just brush off! Fingers crossed for success! 🙂

  6. Cathy

Thank you for sharing this beautiful card, I can’t wait to make it!

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you – have fun with it. This was one of my fave stamp sets of…ever! 🙂
