Stampin’ UP! Happy Hibiscus Charm Thank You for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table.  I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

For today’s thank you card – I pulled out a couple of Online Exclusive goodies – the pretty new Floral Charm DSP – I just LOVE this paper, y’all! – and combined it with some blooms and foliage from the Happy Hibiscus Bundle.  Take a look-see:

And here’s our sketch! 🙂

I started by adhering a flower-dy piece of new Floral Charm DSP to a Petal Pink mat for the card front.  I matted a smaller piece – in tone-on-tone Mossy Meadow – on Petal Pink and adhered that to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the three-flower Happy Hibiscus outline in Petal Pink, and then stamped the fill images (these are three seperate stamps) also in Petal Pink.  Using a Calypso Coral Watercolor Pencil – I added shading to the petals.  With the Daffodil Delight Pencil I colored the stamens.

I placed the cardstock inside the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder with the die in place – lining the flowers up with the flowers in the embossing folder – and ran it thru the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.

Using the dies in the Happy Hibiscus die set, I cut out three Basic Beige leaves and three leaves from that same Mossy Meadow Floral Charm DSP.  I also cut three larger flowers in Calypso Coral and three smaller in Petal Pink.  Those I stacked up with Liquid Glue.

I adhered the two largest – embossed – flowers and then the leaves to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I tied a bow from two lengths of Linen Thread and adhered it with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic Beige cardstock, I stamped the Happy Hibiscus sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and cut it out with the label die in the set.

I adhered the sentiment over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added the three stacked flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some Darling Ducking Low Profile Sparkle Dots to the centers of the stacked flowers and three Mossy Meadow Dots to the card front – and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped a second Happy Hibiscus sentiment in Mossy Meadow on a Basic White panel.  In the corner, I stamped part of the three-flower outline and the fill images in Petal Pink ink. I used the Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencils to add some shading.  Then I stamped the hash-mark image a few times in Basic Beige ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside the Basic Beige card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Happy Hibiscus flowers and hash-marks on the front…

…and more of the flower-dy Floral Charm DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  My goodness – I’d forgotten how beautifully the Happy Hibiscus bundle – with it’s Hybrid Embossing Folder – creates flowers and leaves!  So pretty!  And the Floral Charm DSP is…going to be a heavy favorite (so…you might oughta buy a couple packs quick like a bunny like I did!).
