Happy Father’s Day, y’all! Hope you ALL have a great day!
I recently realized that my sympathy card stash was looking a little empty so…I decided I’d best remedy that! I pulled out the new The Right Words stamp set – from the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog – and then paired it with the Textured Notes bundle – an Online Exclusive. The star of the show, though, is the gorgeous Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder – ALSO an Online Excluive but…won’t be available to customers until 1 July. Take a look-see:
So – this one takes a little bit of time but…it’s a lot of WAITING time! 🙂
I started with a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Secret Sea cardstock that I embossed in the new Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder. Then I held my Whisper White ink pad upside down and tap-tap-tapped it all over the panel.
Then…I let the panel dry for a while. I actually went and worked on something else and then came back to it. When I did – I repeated the inking – and the drying! That gave me two layers of white to work with.
Using Small Blending Brushes, I added Daffodil Delight ink to all the flowers. I added Granny Apple Green to the leaves and Pecan Pie to the flower middles.
I let all that ink dry for a bit.
While it was drying, I stamped a sentiment from The Right Words in Secret Sea ink on a piece of Cloud Cover cardstock. Then I cut out the sentiment with the next-to-smallest Textured Notes die.
With the ink dry – I used a Small Blending Brush again to add Timid Tiger ink to the flowers.
Using my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush I “painted” the panel – blending the colors and…lightening it (the white ink sort of blends into the colors!).
Once it was all dry – see? There’s a LOT of not-hands-on with this one! – I cut the panel down to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
I wrapped a length of Secret Sea 3/8″ Faux Linen Thread around the panel, securing it in the back with Glue Dots. Then I popped the panel onto the front of the Secret Sea card base and adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some new Low-Profile Sparkle Dots (available on 1 July 2025) and the card front was done!
For the inside, I used the largest Textured Notes die to cut out a Cloud Cover rectangle. I stamped a second sentiment from The Right Words set in Secret Sea and then added a Textured Notes leaf in stamped-off-THREE TIMES Secret Sea ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Secret Sea card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Textured Notes leaf in stamped-off-THREE TIMES Secret Sea ink.
…and for the envelope flap, I used some Secret Sea 2025-2027 In Color DSP – brushed with Secret Sea ink.
Et Voila! Oh my goodness – I LOVE the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder! Even WITHOUT any extra…anything!…it’s stunning! I have more ideas for it up my sleeve – and I bet YOU do, too! AND I bet you can hardly WAIT to get it on 1 July! 😎 The new stamp set – The Right Words – really DOES have a TON of “right words” for so many of the cards we need throughout the year! Textured Notes is…just a wonderful bundle all the way around – but…the DIES are….AMAZEBALLS! 🙂
I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix
When you’re the “big” brother – you gotta teach the sister how things are done.
When you’re “on patrol”, Addy, you have to stay…vigilant for boogers and figments….
Oh – and you ALWAYS have to be on the watch for Mom and her darned camera.
Always with the camera.
Trust me, Addy – there’s no rest from the paps. Just pose. It’s easier that way!

Such a pretty card Mary! Love the way that you layered on the colors, perfect! And you never know when one of those figments might be real…glad that she’s learning the ropes. 😉
Yes – that’s true. There’s figments EVERYwhere if we silly hoomans only REALIZED it! Thanks so much, Amy! 🙂
They are so cute, and you did well with the interpretation!
By the way, beautiful card.
Thank you so much, Julie. And yes – I’ve gotten pretty fluent in “dog”! 🙂
Mary–This is a beautiful card. I love it!! Thanks for the project sheet.
Thanks, Karen – glad you like the card and that the project sheet helps! 🙂
Oh my! This is absolutely gorgeous! Wow even! TFS
Addy seems to be adjusting to the paps quickly—she looks posed as readily as The Man.
Yes – she thinks I’m a weirdo but…since I’m the weirdo with the dinner and the cookies…we do what we must! ;). Thanks so much, Susan! 🙂
