Stampin’ Up! Blooming Label Me Grateful Sneak Peek Thank You Card

Good morning and Happy Monday.  Hope you had a most wonderful weekend and have a good week ahead planned.  I spent some time on Saturday making my first – in a long time! – loaf of sourdough bread from active starter only (versus using discard and commercial yeast!).  I have a super active starter going now – thank you, King Arthur flour – and it is very enthusiastic.  The loaf turned out beautifully!  I barely kept myself from eating half the loaf when it came out of the oven.  It is SOOO good!

Which – has absolutely, positively nothing to do with card making so…let’s get to THAT, shall we?!  I pulled another couple of “Coming Soon” Online Exclusives – the very handy Label Me Grateful bundle and beautiful Floral Charm DSP – for today’s card.  Get these on 1 July.  Available NOW is the Online Exclusive Blooming Phrases.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I did a quick video on how to make this pretty card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

I started with some new Floral Charm DSP – y’all – this paper is STUNNING!

…that I matted on Pretty in Pink cardstock for the card front.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the new Label Me Grateful set – available 1 July! – in Pretty Peacock ink.  I cut it out with the label die in the bundled Label Me Grateful die set.

I used the three-flower image from Blooming Phrases to stamp three times in Pretty in Pink ink on the right side of the sentiment.  I added the little single-leaf image in Summer Splash and Granny Apple Green inks.  Then I adhered the sentiment to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Using the dies in the Label Me Grateful set, I cut out some foliage:

– Two flowers in Pretty in Pink and one in Basic White cardstock.

– Two large leaves in Granny Apple Green.

– Three sprigs in Summer Splash.

– Two leaves in Pool Party.

Using Liquid Glue, I started adhering the leaves to the left side of the label.

I added the three flowers on top – also with Liquid Glue – and then added an Antique Pearl to the centers and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Label Me Grateful sentiment in Pretty Peacock on a Basic White panel.  I stamped the Blooming Phrases flowers and leaf in Pretty in Pink, Summer Splash and Granny Apple Green inks.

Using Liquid Glue I adhered the panel to the inside of my Summer Splash card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Blooming Phrases flowers and leaf on the front…

…and more of the Floral Charm DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  With the Floral Charm DSP as a starting point – select a more serene pattern like this one or a bold and beautiful floral from one of the other sheets – and the Label Me Grateful bundle (sentiments AND die cut florals?!  Yes, please!) – you’ll be making wunnermus thank you cards in no time!  Well – AFTER 1 July, that is! But you can pick up the Blooming Phrases stamp set right now – and you should! It’s pretty and sweet with sentiments and florals of its own!

Going into the oven!

First slice – eaten!  It’s an enriched (with milk and butter) sandwich loaf so it has a tighter crumb by design.  The flavor is…off the chain! 🙂

Apparently going to the bathroom by myself and closing the door merits…

…these judge-y faces when I came out! 🤷‍♀️

Your bread looks wonderfully delicious and the puppy faces…ooh, melts my heart. Oh, but this post really is about the card, isn’t it?! Lovely!! I think the colors you chose for the flowers are perfect. You’re right, that DSP is da bomb! Have a blessed day.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks so much, Karen! Glad you liked the card AND the photos! 🙂

  2. Amy Koenders

Such a pretty card! Love the layering and the paper that you’ve used is perfect! And how dare you close the door?? Now the poor puppies are left to wonder what you did in there for the 30 seconds that the door was closed!! 😂

    • stampsnlingers

Yep – a door closed is a suspicious thing, indeed! They’re worried about my SAFETY – I am SURE! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  3. Carol Buckalew

Your card is beautiful! I love those sweet little flowers. Your sourdough sandwich bread looks delicious! I made my very first sourdough artisan bread and it came out well for my first attempt. Next up is sourdough sandwich bread. The pups are a hoot! Ours will bust into the bathroom if you don’t shut the door firmly…lol 😂

    • stampsnlingers

Yup – there’s little to no privacy, right?!? Good luck with the sandwich bread, Carol – check the Pantry Mama’s Farmhouse sourdough sandwich bread – it’s da bomb! Thanks so much! 🙂

  4. Mary Katherine Knipp

Good for you, home made bread. I have started making my own bread too.
The taste of homemade is so much better.

The furry members of the family are just curious?

    • stampsnlingers

Their feelings are easily bruised…privacy is highly overrated!! LOL! Thanks, Mary Katherine! 🙂

  5. Lora

Your bread looks so much softer looking then my recipe that I have used all my life. Looks like I need to find a new recipe. Enjoy and extra slice for me!

The faces on your dogs tells it all. Gotta love our animals.

  6. Amy Oneill
