Stampin’ UP! CAS Framed Scenes Masculine Any Occasion Card

Happy Happy Hawwmp Day, y’all!  Hope your week is going well!  Are you enjoying the new Online Exclusives and the new kits?  I ordered both kits yesterday and should get them soon – can’t wait to dive into them, cuz they look gorgeous!

My card today is one of those new Online Exclusives – the Framed Scenes bundle – and I use it to make a cool, quick and easy card – perfect for anyone but…ALSO a great choice if you need a masculine card!  I used Everyday Greetings for the sentiment – and then realized it was discontinued! 🙁 But – you can pull any sentiment you like off your shelf and use that, instead!  And – I went back to the new Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder – it’s one of my FAVE new things!  Take a look-see:

I pulled some elements from this week’s Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. I went down the diagonal (Metallic – Green – Die-Cuts).

I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram.  If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!

This one’s quick, y’all – so buckle up!

I started by embossing a Mossy Meadow panel in the amaze-balls new Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder for the card front.

On a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I stamped the forest image from Framed Scenes in Mossy Meadow ink.  Using the rectangle frame die in the set, I cut out the image.  I saved the actual “frame” for another project!

I adhered the art die cut to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used that frame die again to cut out an Early Espresso cardstock frame and then used Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the frame to the card front.

I stamped the Everyday Greetings sentiment in Mossy Meadow on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut it out with the smaller oval die in the Framed Scenes set.

Using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals, I adhered the sentiment to the card front.

I added some new Neutral Matte Dots in Pecan Pie and a few birds from the Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the forest scene from Framed Scenes in Mossy Meadow ink in the corner of a Crumb Cake panel.  I added another bird from the Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds, too!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Framed Scenes image on the front…

…and I stamped it again on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  With five pretty landscape scenes – and dies to cut them out! – Framed Scenes is going to be a seriously nice set to have on hand.  Masculine card, anyone!?  Pair it with a sentiment like this one from Everyday Greetings – or there’s a likely candidate in Citrus Blooms, Poised Peony, or Market Goodness!  This set – and this design – would work for almost any kind of occasion – just change up the sentiment!  And – please please PLEASE don’t wait to grab the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder!  Get it NOW and start using it ASAPly!

CARDSTOCK PRICE CHANGES COMING SOON

Stampin’ Up! shared this with us yesterday so I wanted to pass it along!

In light of steadily increasing production costs, we’ve made a few updates to our cardstock offerings.

WHY THE CHANGE?
Over the years, Stampin’ Up! has worked diligently to manage rising costs while balancing high-quality standards and remaining competitive in the market. The costs for raw materials and production have continued to climb, and only a select few mills around the world are qualified to produce our heavyweight, dyed-through cardstock, ensuring it meets our color and quality standards.

WHAT’S CHANGING?

  • 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock:
    • All single-color cardstock packages will now contain 24 sheets (including Basic White and Very Vanilla).
    • Assortments will contain 20 sheets.
    • Prices will be $14 for both single-color and assortment packs.
    • 8-1/2″ x 11″ Thick Basic Cardstock will be discontinued, Thick Basic White Cardstock will be available in 12″ x 12″ packs beginning with the new Annual Catalog in early May.
  • 12″ x 12″ cardstock:
    • Our heavyweight, dyed-through cardstock and Basic White Thick Cardstock packages will contain 24 sheets.
    • 12″ x 12″ dyed cardstock will be $22.
    • 12″ x 12″ Basic White Thick Cardstock will be $26
    • We’re also expanding our 12″ x 12″ offerings with Two-Tone cardstock available in single-color packages in all colors.
    • We will no longer offer 12″ x 12″ dyed cardstock in assortments but will continue to provide 12″ x 12″ Two-Tone assortments that coordinate with our Designer Series Paper & Sticker Sheets.
  • Other Product Updates:
    • Pricing and configuration for our 12″ x 12″ Two-Tone cardstocks and White Willow 12″ x 12″ Cardstock remain unchanged.
    • In addition to the changes mentioned above, you will notice a handful of other price increases, which are typical in a new catalog.

So stock up on those cardstock packs now ahead of the price increases!  You can find the card stock in the online store here

Really like the framed scenes card, as I love a country setting.
And poor old Finn, it’s exhausting patrolling and keeping the home safe
    from the cleaning crew?
    Thank you for sharing
