Happy Monday, y’all! I know you’re uber-excited for tomorrow – new catalog! Sale-a-Bration! New Scrapbooking Brochure! SO many cool things to be had! But…don’t get too distracted at work. Or while making cookies. Or…doing whatever you’re doing to get thru today so that you can get to TOMORROW! 🙂
My card today is another Sneak Peek – the LAST one cuz after tomorrow it’ll be available for EVERYONE! – from the new Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog! It uses much of the new Storybook Moments Suite – like the Storybooks Friends bundle, the Storybook Moments Specialty DSP and beautiful Antique Pearls! And? It’s easy peasy, too! Boom! Take a look see:
The layout for this one was loosely inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week!
I did a quick video on how to make this cool card, which is posted on Instagram. If you’d like to give that a watch – click here!
I started by adhering a piece of the Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP (I LOVE LOVE LOVE this paper, y’all – just buy TWO packs tomorrow, trust me on this!) to a Lemon Lolly mat for the card front.
Using the Storybook Friends die, I cut out a Lemon Lolly frame. I ALSO used the same die to cut a Lost Lagoon frame – all I needed was the oval that comes out of the middle – so I stuck the remaining frame in my “keep it and use it stash”!!
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the Lost Lagoon oval to the middle of the card front.
I ran a short length of Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8″ Metallic Ribbon thru the top of the Lemon Lolly frame. I secured the ribbon with a Glue Dot.
I adhered the frame to the card front – around the Lost Lagoon oval – with Liquid Glue.
The fun little goose is just one of a whole BEVY of darling die cuts that are a part of the new Storybook Moments Specialty DSP – you get two huge sheets of them! I adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I inked just the word “hello” on the “hello friend” stamp, from the Storybook Friends stamp set, in Pretty Peacock ink and stamped it on a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock.
I cut out the sentiment with the smallest Stylish Shapes banner and adhered it with Liquid Glue and a Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a bow with two lengths of white Baker’s Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot. Then I added three new Antique Pearls (SO pretty!) and the card front was done.
On the inside, I stamped the rock wall image from Storybook Friends in Pretty Peacock ink in the bottom corner of a Basic White cardstock panel. The rock on the end of the image is “open” so I used my Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker to close it up. Then I colored the image with my Light Lost Lagoon, Petal Pink and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of my Pretty Peacock card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the rock wall on the front…
…and more of the Timeless Plaid 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! How sweet is that little Storybook Moments Specialty DSP die cut goose!? She’s in good company with all the other darling die cuts in the DSP pack – and matches up with the fur-peoples and sentiments in the coordinating Storybook Friends set. The coordinating dies include three gorgeous frame dies – plus dies to cut out some of the images in the DSP! BOOM! And Timeless Plaid. Seriously? How can you NOT love it as much as I do?!
I hope you like!
