Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies Bokeh Birthday Sneak Peek for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is Celebrate!  Be sure to check out everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided to celebrate birthdays with a few NEW goodies from the Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog – which means YOU’ll be able to get them on 7 Jan 2025!  The Beautiful Bokeh suite is anchored by the Beautiful Butterflies bundle and the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP.  I put it all together to make today’s quick and easy birthday card.  Take a look-see:

This one is quick so….buckle-up, buttercups!

I started by inking just the word “Happy” from the Beautiful Butterflies set in Berry Burst and stamping it on a Fresh Freesia panel.  Note: I used the same 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock that would end up being the mat for my card front.  Saved a little cardstock! 🙂

I cleaned the stamp good and inked up just the work “birthday” – also in Berry Burst – and stamped it under the “happy”.

Using the middle-sized square Stylish Shapes die, I cut out the sentiment – placing the sentiment near the bottom of the square.

I made the card front using a piece of Berry Burst Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP adhered to the Fresh Freesia mat using Liquid Glue.

Using the Beautiful Butterflies dies, I cut a small Basic White butterfly and a small Berry Burst butterfly body.  I adhered the body to the full butterfly using Liquid Glue.

I lightly curled the wings and then adhered the butterfly to the sentiment square with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I adhered the sentiment square to the card front with more Stampin’ Dimensionals – added a pinkish sequin from the new Purple Adhesive-backed Sequins (a NEW and FREE-with-$60-purchase product from the Jan-Feb 2025 Sale-A-Bation catalog also available on 7 Jan 2025!) and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Beautiful Butterflies in Berry Burst on a Basic White panel.  Over the top I stamped a small butterfly from the set in stamped-off-once Fresh Freesia.  Then I added another Purple Adhesive-backed Sequin.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Berry Burst card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Beautiful Butterflies butterfly in full-strength Fresh Freesia ink on the front…

…and more of the Beautiful Bokeh 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  This new Beautiful Bokeh suite is beautiful – with the Beautiful Butterflies bundle – which includes a Hybrid Embossing Folder, too!  And the DSP is super pretty in Balmy Blue, Berry Burst, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Fresh Freesia – you could make this card in ALL the colors!!  Just match the card base, butterfly body and sentiment to the DSP and use one of the coordinating colors for the mat and Stylish Shapes sentiment square!  Boom!
