Good morning and happy work-week! Uhm…happy Monday! Not really sure Monday’s are ever “happy” but…hope yours will be as good as a Monday can get!
So – I have a confession to make. When I put together my September Paper Pumpkin kit – the Autumn Abundance Kit (with the snails and mushrooms) – I…MIGHT…have neglected to really READ the directions for the cute square card. As a result – I totally borked the first one. I set it aside and finished the rest of the kit.
Well – that borked one was just really annoying me – it was so cute that I REALLY didn’t want to just toss it. So – I figured I’d try to make something with it. I pulled out some cardstock and the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder (now an Online Exclusive) – and did a little trimming and adhering and…take a look-see:
I started by embossing a panel of Cajun Craze cardstock in the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and adhering it to a Cajun Craze card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals,
I trimmed the square Autumn Abundance card front that I’d messed up down to 3 1/2″ x 4″. Note: the kit had a Cajun Craze panel that I stamped with the bough image, from the included stamp set, in Cajun Craze ink (per the kit instructions). I adhered the cut out panel right to that Cajun Craze piece – which was….wrong! If you still have your kit – and want to make this card – then stamp that panel and adhere the cut out panel right to it with Liquid Glue. If you don’t have that panel, use a 3 3/8” x 3 7/8” piece of Cajun Craze cardstock.
I matted the panel on a Poppy Parade mat using Liquid Glue.
Then I added the kit pieces – some leaves (with Liquid Glue) and the snail and the mushroom (with Stampin’ Dimensionals).
I added a sentiment banner – stamped with the included set in Cajun Craze on the included banner die cut – and adhered with Liquid Glue.
I adhered the completed panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped the Autumn Abundance sentiment in Cajun Craze on a Very Vanilla panel. Over the top I added the bough image in stamped-off-once Pecan Pie ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Cajun Craze card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Autumn Abundance bough in Pecan Pie on the front…
..and I stamped another leaf from the Autumn Abundance set in Cajun Craze ink on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! So – I know you may not be able to make THIS exact card – sorry about that! But – I hope that you’ll see that you CAN make lemonade (a pretty card) out of a lemon (a borked Paper Pumpkin/kit card!). And – of course, if you have an Autumn Abundance kit sitting around gathering dust – pull it out! Grab the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and…make it yourself! 🙂

Finn Fan Fix 
On our last night on the road, we stayed at a very decent hotel in Arkansas. As sometimes happens – one guest (I guess) maybe partied a little too hard and…maybe?…got a little turned around.
At about 4am there was a loud knock on the door – which woke us both up.
Finn immediately responded with “Wrong ROOM” – VERY forcefully stated.
There were no further knocks, as you might imagine.
Having faithfully executed the duties of his office, he hopped up on the sofa, made himself comfortable and went back to sleep – confident that there’d be no more trouble THIS night!
And – there wasn’t!
Good guard dog, there.
