Good morning from Colorado! We got here mid-afternoon yesterday and got everything settled and ready for the week! I’m pretty sure we spent about 7 days in Kansas. I promise there’s some sort of time portal in that state. Or the roads are like a treadmill – you keep walking (driving) and walking (driving) and the mileage keeps changing but…the view…just…stays…the….same. 🤦♀️
My card today assumes that we WILL escape the time-portal and it WILL be Christmas soon – that’s true. It WILL be Christmas SOON! So…time to start thinking about Christmas cards in earnest. And when you need a good starting place – check out our new Gold-Dipped Mix-and-Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes – they’re beautiful, elegant and handy-as-heck! I used one set in Cherry Cobbler and just added a pretty tag from the Tags for the Season Mix & Match Specialty Ephemera Pack and a sweet mama & her baby from the Reindeer Fun bundle. Take a look-see:
I started by using Stampin’ Seal to adhere a piece of Gold Foil on a Cherry Cobbler mat and then to the front of my Gold-Dipped Mix-and-Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes.
I selected a pretty tag from the Tags for the Season Mix & Match Specialty Ephemera Pack and stamped a sentiment from the Reindeer Fun set in Cherry Cobbler. Note – I placed the tag in the slightly-angled way I would have it on the card front and stamped the sentiment so it would still be straight! 🙂
Then I adhered it to the card front with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the mama and baby image from Reindeer Fun in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then I colored them with the Light and Dark Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.
I used the coordinating die in the bundled Reindeer Fun die set to cut out the image and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied a bow from Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4″ Satin Ribbon (out of stock right now – but should be back around the week of Oct 14!) and adhered it with a Glue Dot and…the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Reindeer Fun in Cherry Cobbler on a Basic White panel. In the corner I stamped that darling tree from the set in Garden Green ink.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat and into the card base and the card was done!
The coordinating envelope is already decorated and is beautiful all by itself. But…I made it even MORE beautiful by stamping that little tree on the front….
…and then I did…nothing!…to the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love the rich and elegant colors in the Gold-Dipped Mix-and-Match Specialty Cards & Envelopes – you get nine sets – three each in Night of Navy, Shaded Spruce and the Cherry Cobbler – all “dipped” in pretty gold! Add some pieces and parts like I’ve done with this tag from the Tags for the Season Mix & Match Specialty Ephemera Pack. And – you’ll never go wrong with some Reindeer Fun deer and sentiments, right?!
