Stampin’ Up! Festive Christmas Friends Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Sunday, y’all!  We’re in a rainy streak so…yestedray was an “inside” day – so…I spent it in the craft room!  What did y’all do?? 🙂

Part of my Saturday included making today’s card with y’all on my YouTube channel!  Something I enjoy very much!  The card I shared showcases the fun ice-skating moose (it COULD happen!) in the new Christmas Friends bundle!  With some new A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP and Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing – I think (hope!) you’ll like the Christmas scene I made.  Take a look-see:

The layout was inspired by the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge this week!

I started with a Pool Party card front that I embossed in the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder to make the card front.

Using the smaller square die in the Perennial Postage Die set – I cut out five squares from the evergreen-and-ornament-strewn paper in the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP.  I adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I stamped the ice-skating Christmas Friends moose in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut him out with the coordinating die in the set.  He’s colored with Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.

Using the circle die in the set, I cut out an ALMOST complete circle from Basic Black cardstock. It’s about 2 5/8″ from top to bottom.

I used a bunch of the dies in the set to cut out the garland and gifts and bows…

– One larger bough from Garden Green cardstock.

– One smaller bough from Granny Apple Green cardstock.

– Three large “ribbon” die cuts and two small “ribbon” die cuts from Poppy Parade cardstock.

– Three large “bows” and two small “bows” from Poppy Parade cardstock.

– Two rectangle and one square “gift” from Granny Apple Green cardstock.

– One rectangle and one square “gift” from Garden Green cardstock.

– One bow-tie (on the boughs) from Poppy Parade cardstock.

I adhered the ribbons and bows to the gifts using Liquid Glue.

I adhered the two boughs and the “bow-tie” to the top of the circle using Liquid Glue.  Then I adhered the circle to the card front with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

With Black Stampin’ Dimensionals positioned near the middle of the die cut – I adhered the moose to the circle.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered three gifts in front of the moose.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere one rectangle gift (Garden Green) behind the moose.

I stamped the Christmas Friends sentiment in Poppy Parade on a piece of Basic White cardstock and cut it out with a rectangle die from the Perennial Postage dies.  I adhered it with Liquid Glue on the right end and Black Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left end.

I used a Black Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the remaining gift – and the card front was done!

For the inside, I stamped the little Christmas Friends tree – it looks sorta like a Charlie Brown tree to me! – in the corner – twice in Granny Apple Green and once in Garden Green ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel inside the Basic Black card base, popped the card front on with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the trees on the front…

…and more of the A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Well – this little guy from the Christmas Friends set is simply too stinkin’ cute, isn’t he?!  And I LOVE that you can cut out ALL the sweet little critters – PLUS gifts and garlands and bows…and there’s even a little conversation bubble!  Love it!  The A Little Bit Festive Mix & Match Specialty DSP is wunnermus – with full size sheets of pretty DSP  – PLUS three  sheets of super fun die cut images and frames for you to use on your projects!  🙂

Such a cute card! Love the little moose on ice skates and the embossed background is perfect! Poor Finn…if only he could reach just a little bit farther…maybe if he keeps trying. 😉
