Stampin’ Up! Festive Blueberry Bunches Thank You Card

Good morning and happy T-1 day to the go-live of the Sep-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog. Are you so excited!?  🙂 I can’t wait to see what all’s going to be in your carts tomorrow!  Whoo-hoo!

My card today contains a few things that I think you’ll like – some available right now as Online Exclusives – like the Blueberry Bunches stamp set and Deckled Circles dies.  And the A Little Bit Festive Mix-and-Match Specialty DSP is going to be available tomorrow – whoo-hoo!  Take a look-see:

I pulled some elements from this week’s Festive Friday Inspo List: Fruity Colors, Gingham, Fruit.

And – I played along with the Double Trouble challenge, too! 🙂

DTC Challenge #174 "Scrapper's Fruity GORP - Fruits & Fruit Colors Fri, Aug 30th - Sun Sept 15th

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram.  You can see it on YouTube right here!

I started by adhering a piece of Night of Navy gingham paper from the new A Little Bit Festive Mix-and-Match Specialty DSP to a Daffodil Delight panel for the card front.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the smaller Blueberry Bunches image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Next to it, I stamped the Blueberry Bunches sentiment in Granny Apple Green and used the 8th largest Deckled Circle die to cut it out.

I colored the leaves with the Light and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, the blueberries with the (duh!) Light and Dark Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blends, and the little tops on the blueberries with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend.

I swiped Clear Wink of Stella Glitter on just the blueberries to add a little dewy shine.

I popped the circle onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally, I added five Lemon Lolly Adhesive-backed Shiny Sequins (an Online Exclusive) and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the larger image from Blueberry Bunches in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Basic White panel.  I colored it with the Granny Apple Green and Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blends and the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the Granny Apple Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the larger Blueberry Bunches image on the front…

…and more of the A Little Bit Festive Mix-and-Match Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I know this isn’t my usual kind of card – but I love the crisp gingham – which is just ONE of the pretty papers you’ll find in the new A Little Bit Festive Mix-and-Match Specialty DSP.  And there are ALSO a bunch of great die cut images and frames in the pack, too, so I hope you’re adding this for your order tomorrow!  Blueberry Bunches is a beautiful depiction of summer yum, isn’t it?  And – of course – the Deckled Circles are a staple in ANY craft room!

I hope you like!

Finn Fan Fix

Two year ago – when it was on sale at Christmas – we bought a prime rib roast – a big one – and stuck it in the freezer.

Two.  Years.  Ago.

We decided we’d thaw it out and cook it – and then freeze the cooked meat (assuming it was okay).

Well – thankfully, it had been wrapped in butcher paper and then Press-and-Seal and then vacuum sealed.  Cuz it thawed out beautifully!

We used our tried-and-true recipe and…

Lots of dinners there!!

And…bones.

For the Mom and THEN the dog!

We took him – and the bone – outside.  He tried very hard to bring it back inside, but finally gave in and got down to business.

Those big hands are very useful!

He is quite effective!

Being a bit of a genius – he is VERY aware that there are two MORE bones in the fridge!

Such a pretty card! The colors are perfect, love the plaid background too! Yep…nothing better than a prime rib bone, other than two more waiting in the fridge for later!! 😉

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – it’s like… money in the bank. Only…for dogs! Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  2. Karen Lang

Man on man, does that look good! Absolutely cooked perfectly for my taste!! You can send a “care pkg.” my way any day!! Lucky dog!!!!!!

Really looking forward to the release of the New Mini Catalogue……ready for some Holiday card making!

    • stampsnlingers

I know, right?! I’m sure it was perfect cuz we didn’t wait one minute to cut it and stop the cooking. Normally, we tote it to our friends house for dinner – and it can be an hour before we cut it. Lesson. Learned! Thanks, Karen!!

  3. Suzanne Reynolds

Beautiful card… love the bold colors of the checkered background, perfect for your blueberry image inside and out. Festive Friday is partnering with Double Trouble’s “Scrapper’s Fruity GORP” and you have met our requirement and hope you will share your card with us at https://doubletroublechallenge.blogspot.com/2024/08/Challenge-174.html

    • stampsnlingers

Thank you so much, Suzanne – and I’ll head over and enter the Double Trouble challenge for sure! 🙂

  4. Melanie Hungerford

Lovely card, the checked background gives such a country feel and the image is perfect for our fruity challenge! Thanks for playing along at Double Trouble and at Festive Friday!

  5. Melanie R

Great card, Mary! I love the colors and that pretty gingham background. Thank you for joining our challenge at Double Trouble. (If I remember correctly, you are a pilot. Thank you for your service. My father was a 30-year vet and an aviator as well. Same with brother, husband, and son – 20 years each. I enjoy flying an old Piper SuperCub, thanks to Dad!) — Melanie R.

    • stampsnlingers

Oh wow – that’s so cool, Melanie! Yes, I was an AF pilot – haven’t flown (in the front!) in years! Thanks to all the family for their Service! And thanks for the kind words on my card! 🙂

  6. Love the blueberries and that plaid background! Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble 🙂
