Stampin’ Up! CAS Festive Humble Home Sneak Peek Thank You Card

Monday, Monday…it’s Monday and time to head to work!  Or to the craft room.  Or – in Finny’s case – to the groomer!!  Hopefully he’ll drop off a whole DOG’S worth of fur – I mean…he does it all over the house so….ought to be easy at the groomer, right?!?  🤦‍♀️

My card today is another sneak peek from the Sep – Dec 2024 Mini Catalog!  It’s a punch bundle – called Humble Home – and it’s super cute!  Then I pulled a couple of papers from the A Little Festive Specialty DSP!  And it all came together to make a clean and simple thank you card.  Take a look-see:

The layout for the one is from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram.  You can see it on YouTube right here!

I started by stamping the Humble Home “Thank You” sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink five times on a Smoky Slate panel.  I used a straight edge to help keep them lined up.  Tip:  Stamp the top – then the bottom – then the center (there IS one under the DSP on the card!) – then stamp between the three images.  THAT helps to keep them equally spaced! 🙂

I embossed the panel in the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of my Smoky Slate card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using Liquid Glue – I adhered two pieces of A Little Festive DSP to the card front.

Using the second-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle die, I cut out a Pool Party circle.  I splattered the circle using the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blend – striking the blender against the edge of an ink pad.  Then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the roof image from the Humble Home set in Misty Moonlight ink.  I added the brick house image in stamped-off-once Smoky Slate.

I stamped the door and windows image in Misty Moonlight.

I stamped the same image (door and windows) in Pool Party ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  Then I used the Humble Home Builder Punch to cut out the windows.  I adhered the two little windows to the house – right smack over the stamped ones.  Instant window trim! 🙂

I used the punch again to cut out the house itself.  Then one more time to punch out a little Cajun Craze heart.

I adhered the heart to the house with a little Liquid Glue, then popped the whole thing onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped a second Humble Home sentiment in Pool Party ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock.  Above it, I stamped the roof in Misty Moonlight ink.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got a stamped heart – from Humble Home – in Cajun Craze – on the front…

…and more A Little Festive Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Oh – the Humble Home is a bit of a fly-over and…I almost DID fly-over it!  But – the stamp set has Christmas – and thank you – and new home sentiments in it – and we ALL love a good punch bundle, right?!  So cute!  A Little Festive DSP has regular 12″ x 12″ sheets of DSP – like these beautiful patterns – PLUS a couple of sheets of die cuts and frames for all your projects!  Very handy and very fun! 🙂

CHECKOUT THIS AWESOME FUNDRAISER!

The Grand Chapter of Iowa Order of the Eastern Star is holding a fundraiser for Retrieving Freedom – a organization that trains Service dogs for Veterans and Autistic children!

You can lend your support to this great organization – AND maybe win this beautiful quilt – designed by my friend and teammate Julie Johnston…

…by purchasing raffle tickets!

Here’s the deets:

–  Tickets are $1 each and you can purchase as many as you wish

–  The quilt measures about 61″ x 73″

– The quilt was “commissioned” by the Grand Chapter of Iowa Order of the Eastern Star

–  Julie designed the quilt using symbols and colors chosen by the Worthy Grand Matron, Mary Reicks, and Worthy Grand Patron Joe Ried

–  One of the symbols is songbirds, so Julie took photos of 14 Iowa songbirds, printed them on fabric, and wove them into the design. There are 14 different bird photos – one in each square of the quilt!
–  The other major symbol is bicycles and fabric incorporating them is part of the field of the quilt

If you’d like to purchase tickets to support this great cause – AND maybe win that quilt! – please send Julie an e-mail at: jg441157j5x@natel.net
