Good morning and Happy Saturday! We have exactly…nothing!…on the books for today. I mean – as of right this second. We’ve been known to do stuff “on the fly”. We’re all crazy and spontaneous like that! 😂
No matter how cray cray we get – I’ll be sure to rein it in and be ready to go live this evening with another card for you! 😎 I hope you’ll c’mon over, tonight at 7pm Eastern, to my Stamps-N-Lingers YouTube channel for this week’s Saturday Night Live! Here’s a sneaky peek:
Whatcha think? 🤔
If you know…shhhh! But – even if you’ve TOTALLY “got it” – I hope you’ll join me to get the WHOLE picture tonight. 7pm Eastern. Right here! 🙂
Hope to see everyone tonight for the video!

CHECKOUT THIS AWESOME FUNDRAISER!
The Grand Chapter of Iowa Order of the Eastern Star is holding a fundraiser for Retrieving Freedom – a organization that trains Service dogs for Veterans and Autistic children!
You can lend your support to this great organization – AND maybe win this beautiful quilt – designed by my friend and teammate Julie Johnston…
…by purchasing raffle tickets!
– Tickets are $1 each and you can purchase as many as you wish
– The quilt measures about 61″ x 73″
– The quilt was “commissioned” by the Grand Chapter of Iowa Order of the Eastern Star
– Julie designed the quilt using symbols and colors chosen by the Worthy Grand Matron, Mary Reicks, and Worthy Grand Patron Joe Ried
– One of the symbols is songbirds, so Julie took photos of 14 Iowa songbirds, printed them on fabric, and wove them into the design. There are 14 different bird photos – one in each square of the quilt!
– The other major symbol is bicycles and fabric incorporating them is part of the field of the quilt
If you’d like to purchase tickets to support this great cause – AND maybe win that quilt! – please send Julie an e-mail at: jg441157j5x@natel.net

Finn Fan Fix
So – several weeks ago, we bought a bunch of plants that were on their last legs at the local TSC,
A few of those were bright red Calla Lillies.
I didn’t think I even LIKED Calla Lillies – but the price was right!
Well – I might have to stand corrected!
That’s just one of them – all four have been blooming off and on since they got their own pots – the right amount of water and sun – and…OUT of the greenhouse!
Not sure WHY they’re so happy but…it COULD be due to Master Gardener Finn’s tender loving care!
Looking good, Mom! Aren’t you glad that you brought them home?
Yes. Yes I am. 🤷♀️

Looking forward to seeing your live tonight! Glad that Finn’s supervision got those flowers blooming…they are really pretty! Tell him that he did a great job. 😉
I’ll pass that along! Thanks, Amy! 🙂
Hi Mary,
I believe those are Canna lilies, not Calla lilies. The Calla lily has trumpet shaped blooms. My mother always planted Cannas around the garden when I was a kid and lifted the rhizomes to store in the basement over the winter since we lived in Illinois.
Well – whatever they are – I hope they’ll be okay here in GA to stay outside!! Thanks! 🙂
Hope to catch Live tonight! Those red calla lilies look GREAT-way to go!🙌🏻
Thanks, Judi – hope to “see” you on! 🙂
I believe those plants are canna lilies not calla lilies. Still beautiful plants. I had both canna and calla lilies in a past house. I love both versions!
As you can see – I have no clue! LOL. But – they’re bold and pretty so…I’m good with whatever they are!! Thanks!
Mary, sorry but your beautiful red flower is a canna not a calla lily.
Ahhh – well. Canna. Calla. Pretty either way! 🙂
