Now…if I was a SMART demonstrator – I’d have made a card with one of the bundles on sale. To entice you to grab it. Or…I’d have made a card with a new Online Exclusive so you’d be rearing to go on the 3rd.
Did I do either of those things!?
Nope.
Instead – I yielded to requests to make another card with the new Winterly Tree Tops bundle and Nests of Winter DSP. I confess – y’all didn’t have to virtually twist my arm TOO hard. Take a look-see:
I started by strategically cutting four Stylish Shapes squares (using the second-from-largest square die in the set) from a piece of the Nests of Winter DSP. I caught a sweet little bird or two in each square – you can see that I sort of situated them in a corner so they’d still at least sort-of show after I added decorations!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere them in a grid on a piece of Blueberry Bushel cardstock. Then I popped the square onto the front of a Copper Clay card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
From another piece of the DSP, I cut out the next-to-largest Stylish Shapes circle. From the MIDDLE of that circle, I cut the third-from-largest Stylish Shapes circle.
I adhered the larger circle – now really a donut! – to the card front with Liquid Glue.
Then I used some Stampin’ Seal + to adhere a loop-d-doo of Copper Clay Jute Twine.
Over THAT, I popped the inner circle in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the large die from the Winterly Tree Tops die set – I cut out the two-bird image from a piece of Nests of Winter DSP. I adhered it to the popped-up-circle with Liquid Glue.
On the same design of the DSP that I used for the circles, I stamped the Winterly Tree Tops sentiment in Copper Clay ink.
I cut out the sentiment with the largest Stylish Shapes banner die and adhered it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added some Blueberry Bushel Tinsel Gems to the sentiment and the card front was done!
For the inside, I stamped the sweet little bird image from Winterly Tree Tops in Gray Granite ink in the corner of a Basic White panel. I colored it with Watercolor Pencils: Blue and Balmy Blue (bird), Crushed Curry (bird), Basic Gray (beak); Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler (berries) and Pecan Pie (branch).
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to the inside of the card base and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Winterly Tree Tops bird on the front…
…and more of the Nests of Winter DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Seriously – is it any wonder that I keep coming up with ideas in my head for this new Winterly Tree Tops bundle, the Nests of Winter DSP and – really – the whole new SUITE?! I think not. But – I promise to try to restrain myself at least for a minute, okay!? Pinky swear!
