Stampin’ Up! Spotlight on Nature in the Round Thank You Card with Video Tutorial

Good morning and happy Weekend-eve!  It’s Friday – don’t you love a short week?? 😉

But – it’s ALSO 31 May – which means this is the LAST day for you to snag the wunnermus 2024-2026 In Color Starter Kit Promotion.  Don’t miss out, okay?  I’d hate that for you! 🙁

My card today uses the Spotlight on Nature bundle – truly one of my favorite new things in our catalog – and the Country Woods DSP.  They’re just a match made in heaven for this thank you card.  Take a look-see:

The layout for this card came from The Paper Players sketch challenge this week

I started by using Liquid Glue to adhere two pieces of beautiful Misty Moonlight Country Woods DSP to two pieces of Early Espresso cardstock and then to the front of the Misty Moonlight card base.

Using the largest of the embossed-edge circle dies in the Spotlight on Nature die set, I cut out an Early Espresso circle – which I adhered with Liquid Glue.

I matted another piece of Country Woods DSP – with a little Petal Pink running thru it – on Misty Moonlight and then adhering the matted strip to the card front with Liquid Glue.

On a piece of light wood paper from the pack, I stamped the pretty Spotlight on Nature floral in Early Espresso ink.

I cut out the image with a medium-sized, floral-edged circle die from the Spotlight on Nature dies.  Near the flower, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso.

I colored the flowers with the Light and Dark Petal Pink and the light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

I added some doodle-dots around the image using my Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker.

Then I adhered the circle onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added three Petal Pink gems from the Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems and the card front was done.

On the inside, I stamped the Spotlight on Nature butterfly in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White panel. I colored the butterfly with the Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends – and added the Mossy Meadow doodle-dots.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Early Espresso mat and into the Misty Moonlight card base and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the butterfly on the front…

…and more of the Misty Moonlight Country Woods DSP (man, I LOVE that colored wood!) on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  I love this Spotlight on Nature bundle SOO much – and when it’s paired with Country Woods DSP – it’s just….perfect!

All he needs is a pipe and a tweed jacket.

With elbow patches, of course.
