Stampin’ Up! Wildly Flowering Grateful Blessing Thank You Card

Good morning on this Memorial Day 2024.  Take a moment today to remember all the men and women who gave it ALL to allow us the freedoms we enjoy in this country.  As tumultuous as things are now – we remain the greatest – and free-est, nation on the planet.  And that freedom has exacted a high price.  Today is the day to acknowledge that and give thanks.

In the vein of giving thanks, I have a quick – and pretty! – one for you today.  It spotlights the new Greatest Blessing stamp set – and the gorgeous Wildly Flowering DSP!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one came from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week.

I did a quick video on how to make this one, which is posted on Instagram.  You can see it on YouTube right here!

I started by adhering a piece of Wildly Flowering DSP to a Moody Mauve panel for the card front.  Then I adhered a narrow strip of a Misty Moonlight design from the paper pack on the right side, again with Liquid Glue.

I took my 2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of the Wildly Flowering DSP and used a Paper Trimmer to cut it into three 1 1/2″ x 2″ pieces.

These I adhered – in order – on a Moody Mauve cardstock mat using Liquid Glue.

I adhered the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I inked the sentiment from Grateful Blessing in Misty Moonlight – ONLY inking the part AFTER “I am” on the sentiment – and stamped it on a piece of Basic White cardstock.

I cut out the sentiment with the largest Stylish Shapes banner die and used Dimensionals and Liquid Glue to adhere it to the card front.

I added three Adhesive-backed Textured Dots and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the pretty floral from Grateful Blessing in Mossy Meadow on a Basic White panel.  I added the flower FILL image in stamped-off-once Moody Mauve.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Moody Mauve mat and into my Crumb Cake card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Mossy Meadow and stamped-off-once Moody Mauve floral on the front…

…and more of the Wildly Flowering DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  How pretty is this Wildly Flowering DSP?!?  I love the colors and the textures and the flowers and…just all of it!  And Grateful Blessing is a lovely set – with pretty sentiments and simple two-step floral images! Perfect!

The land of the free…because of the brave. All gave some; some gave all.

  3. This card is stunning Mary. I love the ‘texture’ of the DSP and the layout is perfect.
