Stampin’ Up! Submarine Life Hi In the Beauty of the Sea with Video

Happy Happy Friday, y’all!  I hope you’re looking forward to the weekend and have something fun planned!

My card today is all about fun!  It’s features two great products that are carrying over into the new 2024-2025 Annual Catalog!  The Submarine Life stamp set and punch – with it’s darling submarine (yellow, of course!) and snorkeling denizens of the sea! And – the beauteous Beauty of the Deep die set for great coral and foliage die cuts! And – here’s a good look at..Summer Splash – one of our awesome new 2024-26 In Colors!  Take a look-see:

The layout for this one was inspired by the Sketch Saturday challenge sketch!

And the colors are from The Paper Players color challenge this week.

I started with a Summer Splash card base (I don’t have Bermuda Bay…anything!…anymore – so…this seemed like a cool substitute!)…

…and used the little bubble image from Submarine Life to stamp Summer Splash bubbles all over the front.

Then I matted some new Summer Splash 2024-2026 In Color DSP – in a perfectly bubbly pattern – on a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock and adhered it to the card base with Liquid Glue.

I pulled out the Beauty of the Deep die set and cut out some corals.  Two large in Melon Mambo, four medium/small in Granny Apple Green and three small in Crushed Curry.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Submarine Life sea creatures – a Melon Mambo crab, a Granny Apple Green octopus and…the cutest starfish ever in Crushed Curry.  I used Stylish Shapes circle dies to cut them out.

Each circle got the prop-wash image from the Submarine Life set stamped across it in stamped-off-once Summer Splash ink (to look like water!).

I laid everything out on the card front and – when I liked what I saw – adhered the corals with Liquid Glue.

I added some Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine in a twisty and turn-y way – using Glue Dots to secure it every once in a while.

I adhered the three Stylish Shapes circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals – that I placed on the card front (versus on the die cuts – makes it a ton easier to work around twine and bows and such!).

I stamped the Crushed Curry Submarine Life sub on a piece of Basic White cardstock and punched it out with the bundled Submarine Life Builder Punch.  I did the same with the propeller – stamping it in Melon Mambo.

I adhered the prop to the back of the sub with a little Liquid Glue and then popped it onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Submarine Life sentiment in Summer Splash and cut it out with a Stylish Shapes banner – then adhered it with Dimensionals.

Finally – I added some blue-ish Iridescent Adhesive-backed Discs (they looked like bubbles to me!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped some more Submarine Life snorkelers and bubbles on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Melon Mambo mat and into my Summer Splash card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Submarine (sea) Life on the front…

…and more Summer Splash 2024-2026 In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all – I sorta went round-n-round with this card.  I had the concept in my head but…it wasn’t…”right” when I put it together.   Submarine Life was giving me the basics – the “cake”, if you will.  But…it just needed a little…bump.  Enter…Beauty of the Deep!  With the addition of the corals in all the colors – it all came together with a BOOM!  (Note: while both these products are carrying over – as usual, the BUNDLE pricing will NOT be – so if you don’t have the Submarine Life and/or Beauty of the Deep bundles – get them before their prices go UP on 1 May!)

I’m already loving the new 2024-206 In Colors – and Summer Splash is going to be one of my faves – and the new patterns in the color-family DSPs are the best ever!
