Happy Happy Hawwwmp Day, y’all! Are you having fun with the new catalog? Based on yesterday, I’d say yes! And I hope you’re ALSO enjoying gathering up those Double Peppermints!! 🙂
My card today uses one of the uber-cool new bundles – called Beauty of the Deep! And I paired it with…Fresh as a Daisy DSP to make an underwater scene for you! Take a look-see:
The fun layout is from the Sketch Saturday challenge.
I started with a piece of the Fresh as a Daisy DSP in Azure Afternoon that I matted on Flirty Flamingo for the card front. Then I stamped the bubbles image from Beauty of the Deep in Azure Afternoon all over the upper part of the panel.
From Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight cardstock, I used the die in the Beauty of the Deep set to cut out three large corals. I adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.
I also cut five smaller coral pieces from Lemon Lolly. You KNEW I’d get this amazing new color in somewhere!! :).
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the angel fish from Beauty of the Deep five times in Azure Afternoon ink. I colored them with the Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend – and then cut them out with the matching die from the Beauty of the Deep set.
On a strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Happy Labels sentiment in Flirty Flamingo. Then I punched each end of the strip in the coordinating Happy Labels Pick A Punch.
I popped the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhered the small coral die cuts in place with Liquid Glue – placing them where I intended the fish to end up.
Each of the angel fish is adhered with a half Stampin’ Dimensional.
I added a bevy of Balmy Blue and Petal Pink sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins and the card was done!
On the inside, I stamped a coral in Azure Afternoon and the fan coral in Daffodil Delight on a Basic White panel. Then I added the Beauty of the Deep bubbles in stamped-off-once Azure Afternoon.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat and into my Azure Afternoon card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done!
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Azure Afternoon and Daffodil Delight corals and stamped-off-once Azure Afternon bubbles on the front…
…and more Fresh as a Daisy DSP – complete with bubbles! – on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! It’s like Maui. Only…closer! And…drier? I love this Beauty of the Deep set – those little fish are just too cute! And – since it’s an image-only set – you’ll want some sentiments and the Happy Labels set – with the coordinating Happy Label Pick A Punch – is a great spot to look!
