Stampin’ Up! Uniquely Artistic Bamboo Beauty for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all!  It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  We’ve got a fun color challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!

I’ve got a couple of pretty stamp sets – and one of the prettiest DSP’s ever! – for my card today!  The Uniquely Artistic stamp set – an image only set – plus a couple of pretty sentiments from Bamboo Beauty are perfect atop the Pretty Prints DSP!  And – they’re ALL retiring soon! 😔 Take a look-see:

And here’s the colors we had to work with!

I selected some elements from the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge this week, too!  I got Gold – Butterfly – Die Cuts across the top!

I started by adhering a piece of Calypso Coral paper from the Pretty Prints DSP onto the front of a Calypso Coral card base.

On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the detailed image from Uniquely Artistic set in Soft Succulent.  Over the top, I added the fill image in stamped-off-once Soft Succulent ink.

Next to the foliage, I stamped the pretty sentiment from Bamboo Beauty in Daffodil Delight.

Then I used the large tag die in the Designer Tags die set (carrying over as an Online Exclusive!) to cut out the shape.

I “threaded” two strips of Pretty Prints DSP thru the ends of the tag, and then popped the tag onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Note: I kept the Dimensionals near the center of the die cut – so I could slide my leaves underneath the edges!

Using dies from the Designer Tags set, I cut out four Soft Succulent leaves – and slid them under the tag corners, securing them with Liquid Glue.

I cut out one Daffodil Delight and two Orchid Oasis butterflies – yep, from the Designer Tags (a VERY handy die set!) and adhered them with Liquid Glue.

Finally, I added a few gold Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the foliage from Uniquely Artistic in Soft Succulent and stamped-off-once Soft Succulent on a Basic White panel.  Then I added a Bamboo Beauty sentiment in Daffodil Delight.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Orchid Oasis mat and into the Calypso Coral card base and the card was done!

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Uniquely Artistic foliage on the front…

…and more Pretty Prints DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  These aren’t colors that I might have put together on my own – so it’s fun to have a “challenge”  to sort of get me out of my creative comfort zone!  I love the pretty images from the Uniquely Artistic set – and the Bamboo Beauty has lovely images AND wonderful sentiments!  They – along with the beautiful Pretty Prints DSP – are all retiring soon – and you can get a tidy savings – so…you should grab them all before they’re gone! Fortunately, the Designer Tags will still be here even after the catalog retires – in the Online Exclusives section of the Online Store!

Love the sentiment…and very pretty design.

  7. Kathy from MD

Such a lovely card— not a combo I would’ve used, but it works! And so cool to use cardstock as ribbon to thread through the tag. Kind of a forehead slap moment there. Definitely gonna incorporate that idea into a future card.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks! Glad you liked my paper ribbon!! Appreciate it, Kathy! 🙂

  8. Lovely card! I was a little spoofed by the color combos as well! Yours turned out perfect! TFS
