Good morning and….HAPPY HAPPY HAWWWMP DAY!! Yes – it’s the middle of the week and we’re on the downhill slide to the weekend – and Easter Sunday!
My card for today isn’t an Easter card – rather it’s a versatile “hello” card – with a blank inside! I love doing these kinds of cards – having them in my stash means I can add a sentiment to the inside based on what I need at the time! This one is decked out with some Tropical Leaf punched leaves, pretty Naturally Gilded Specialty DSP and…POLISHED PINK!! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge.
I started by adhering a piece of Early Espresso Neutrals 6″ x 6″ DSP to a Polished Pink mat for the card front.
Using Liquid Glue, I adhered some silver-foiled Naturally Gilded Specialty DSP (this paper is an Online Exclusive product – only available thru the Online Store – you won’t see it in a catalog!) to another piece of Polished Pink cardstock and then to the card front.
I cut out a circle from Basic White cardstock using the largest Stylish Shapes circle die – and then adhered it with Liquid Glue.
On another piece of Basic White, I stamped the large Tropical Leaf image – once in Mossy Meadow and once in Old Olive. Tropical Leaf is another of the Online Exclusive products. Using the bundled Tropical Leaf Punch I cut them both out – and adhered them with some Liquid Glue.
I used a few Glue Dots to adhere a loop-de-doo of some Early Espresso 1/4″ Faux Suede Trim – which is retiring soon, so be sure to pick up a few rolls right quick!
I used Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere a Mossy Meadow, and then an Old Olive, strip of DSP – from the outgoing Neutrals and Regals 6″ x 6″ DSP packs.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Tropical Leaf sentiment in Polished Pink and then cut it out with a Stitched Rectangles Die. Y’all. The Stitched Rectangles Dies are RETIRING (can I get a moment of silence?! 😩😩😩). Please don’t let this one slip away from you – it is an absolute WORKHORSE – and it’s at a sweet little discounted price!!
I adhered the sentiment with Liquid Glue, then added some Crumb Cake Enamel Dot Essentials (also retiring!) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped the large Tropical Leaf in Mossy Meadow and the small one in Old Olive on a Basic White panel.
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Polished Pink mat and into my Mossy Meadow card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Tropical Leaves in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive on the front…
…and more of the Naturally Gilded Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! Don’t you just love the Online Exclusive Tropical Leaf bundle?? I do – I love the leaf images and the pretty fonts and the PUNCH! This whole set just makes me happy! And the silver-foiling in the Naturally Gilded Specialty DSP made for a nice touch against the serene neutrals of this card. And then…there’s POLISHED PINK! It’s just PERFECT!
I hope you like!
