Stampin’ Up! Soft Seedlings on Rustic Harvest For You Card

Well.  Here we are again – the work week is commencing!  If that means YOU have to go to work today – I hope you have a great day! 🙂

My card today uses the Soft Seedlings stamp set – again – sorry! – and some Rustic Harvest DSP.  You’ll also find some texture from the cool Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder (one of my faves!).  Take a look-see:

Stampin' Up! Soft Seedlings on Rustic Harvest For You Card

The layout for this clean-and-simple card is from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

I started by embossing a Basic White panel in the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and matting it on Cajun Craze for the card front.

Across the card front, I adhered a Cajun Craze-matted strip of Rustic Harvest DSP using Liquid Glue.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the pretty leaf image from Soft Seedlings on a piece of Basic White cardstock.  First I inked the stamp with my Crushed Curry ink pad and stamped the image.  Then I added some Pumpkin Pie ink to the leaf using a Sponge Dauber.  That’s another way of making your leaf more Fall-ish! 🙂

When it was done, I used the fourth-from-the-largest Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out the leaf.  I used the same die to cut a Crushed Curry piece of the Rustic Harvest DSP!

I adhered the DSP rectangle to the card front with Liquid Glue – then popped the art panel on with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Soft Seedlings sentiment in Cajun Craze and cut it with the square-ish Stitched Rectangle Die  – this is the sort of “stand-alone” die (it doesn’t “nest” with the others!).

I used Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to the card front.

I tied a small bow from some Silver-threaded Twine and adhered it with a Glue Dot.

I added a few Amber Gems (from the Leaf Labels & Amber Gems pack) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I once again used my Stamparatus to stamp the Soft Seedlings leaf in Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie ink on a Basic White panel.

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Cajun Craze mat and into my Crushed Curry card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Soft Seedlings leaf on the front…

…and more of the Rustic Harvest DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  If you’re a “Fall” lover then the Soft Seedlings stamp set is PERFECT for you!  That leaf!!  Rustic Harvest DSP is also a no-brainer and…the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder – LOVE!

Finn Fan Fix

Today’s the day!

Finny goes to the Groomer.  He’ll get a bath and a good brush out – I’ll request no pommade or anything.  😉

In the spirit of transparency and managing expectations, I told him about it yesterday.

Uhm….

…what now??  Do I LOOK like I NEED a groomer?!?  I mean – I’m pretty stunning just like this! 😉

Also – what’s a GROOMER?!?  😳

Fingers crossed, y’all – for a good experience for him!!

  1. LOVE your combination of that gorgeous leaf stamp, the embossed leaves and the rich paper with the swirling lines! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.

    • stampsnlingers

Thanks, Kim – appreciate you stopping by!! 🙂

  2. Such a pretty card!! Love the fall colors and that leaf image is beautiful! Poor Finn…he has no idea what’s about to happen. 😉

    • stampsnlingers

He’s so easy – he loves the vet so even a bath shouldn’t be THAT awful! Fingers crossed! 🙂 Thanks, Amy! 🙂

  3. Debra Anderson

Love everything about this card, Mary!
If we say “bath” to our Aussie, he nearly tears the door down to get to the car. He adores getting groomed. Nail trimming, not so much. We have considered sedation for that portion of the process! LOL

    • stampsnlingers

All we have to say is “go” and he’s ready. Destination not a factor – ANYwhere works for him! Sorry your guy doesn’t like his nails done. 🙁

  4. I have to go to work cleaning up my craft area…it is a SUPER mess! Your card is beautiful and I’m so glad I have that set but haven’t used it yet. Tell Finny that he’ll be even more handsome than he already is. Have a blessed day!

    • stampsnlingers

Wait till you see his pic – he’s SOOO handsomer than ever! Thanks, Karen – and good luck with the craft room clean up. I feel ya! 🙂

  5. Kate

Fingers crossed! We call it the ‘groomy lady’ here…and she comes tomorrow.
All our furrieds will be a bit less so. 😂

    • stampsnlingers

Yes – it went GREAT! I’m very happy and so is the Man! Hope yours goes well, too! Thanks, Mom! 🙂

  6. Judi Hartbarger

Beautiful card…..and I take it no issues with distinktive stamps as the results are gorgeous.

    • stampsnlingers

Nope – this stamp is wonderful!! Thanks, Judi! 🙂

  7. Beautiful card, Mary!
