Hey, y’all – hope your weekend is going well! Are you Alabamians enjoying your Sales Tax Holiday? 🙂
When I first saw the Countless Trees stamp set – which is, I admit, a bit of a flyover set – I thought it was cool. I mean – it’s one of the Reversible stamp sets and you can create all sorts of fun trees with it. One might even say…a COUNTLESS number of trees! 🤷♀️ It’s the one I picked to play with today and I paired it with the Celebrate Everything DSP – a Host-Exclusive reward! Take a look-see:
The layout for this one is from the CAS Colours & Sketches sketch challenge this week.
And – the Global Design Project theme challenge led me to the circular sentiment!
I also did a video on how to make this card – if you were able to join me last night to see it live – thanks so much! If you’d like to see the video, here ’tis on YouTube!
I started by adhering a piece of the Celebrate Everything DSP on a Mint Macaron mat using Liquid Glue.
I cut a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock and then used the curve die in the Basic Borders die set to cut the top off the panel. Note: I used a ruler to be sure that the curve was straight – I measured down 1 1/2″ on each side and placed the top edge of my die there. 😎
I decorated the larger bottom portion of the White panel using the tree images in the Countless Trees stamp set.
I found it easier to start with the “back” side of the stamps – so the flat (fill) side. But – you should give them a try for yourself on some scrap paper (our Grid Paper is the perfect choice!) and decide which is easier for YOU!
I stamped the top of weeping tree “back” with stamped-off-once Mint Macaron – then turned the stamp over on the block and stamped the detailed image in full strength Mint Macaron. Then I added a Soft Suede trunk.
The taller palm tree is stamped in Soft Succulent – stamped-off-once for the “fill” and full strength for the detailed image. The trunk for this one is also two-step – in Soft Suede, with the fill stamped-off-once.
I stamped some Soft Succulent “grass” near the bottom of the trunks.
Then I popped the panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the Very Best Occasions sentiment in Soft Succulent and cut it with the third-from-smallest Stylish Shapes circle die.
I used some Stampin’ Seal + to adhere a couple of lengths of Soft Succulent 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon. Then I popped the sentiment on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I added a few Soft Succulent 2022-2024 In Color Opal Rounds to the sentiment and the card front was done!
On the inside, I stamped a second sentiment from Very Best Occasions in Soft Succulent on a Basic White panel. The weeping tree in Mint Macaron and Soft Suede, and some grass in Soft Succulent, finished it off!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Mint Macaron mat and then into my Soft Succulent card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got the weeping tree and grass on the front…
…and more of the Celebrate Everything DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! I love this Countless Tree set. I mean…look at it! Topiaries – weeping trees – pine trees – Christmas trees – palm trees! WOW!
And the Celebrate Everything DSP is amazeballs, too! Basic Borders is another of those stand-alone, workhorse die sets from the Annual Catalog that I think everyone needs in their tool box!
I hope you like!
