Good morning, y’all! It’s Thursday – which means it’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! We’ve got a great sketch challenge to work with and I’m excited to see what everyone brings to the table – I just know you’re going to see a ton of awesome-ness on the hop today!
I decided to bring you a little sneak peek from the Jul – Dec 2022 Mini Catalog (which is coming SO SOON – like on 1 Jul!!). My card is a CASE of a sample in the catalog featuring the new Splendid Thoughts stamp set and bundled Splendid Stems dies, plus the gorgeous Splendid Day Specialty DSP. Take a look-see:

I started by adhering a piece of lovely new Splendid Day Specialty DSP – in Soft Sea Foam – on a piece of Sahara Sand to create the card front.
Next up, on a piece of Basic White, I stamped some greenery from the Splendid Thoughts set in Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party Ink. Then I adhered the panel to a Sahara Sand mat and onto the card front with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Basic White, I stamped the leaves again in Soft Sea Foam.
Then I pulled out the Splendid Stems Die set and did a little cutting! Stamped images plus some Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party leaves. Pretty!
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the leaves to the card front.
I used the semi-circle die – it looks like a shallow pot – to cut out a piece of Sahara Sand paper from the Splendid Day Specialty DSP. Y’all – this paper is gorgeous.
I wrapped a short length of Linen Thread around the “pot” and tied a little bow. Then I adhered it over the stems on the left with Liquid Glue.
On a piece of Petal Pink cardstock, I stamped a Splendid Thoughts sentiment in Petal Pink – and cut it with the “pot” die.
I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment over the right side stems on the card front.
To finish it off, I added some Pool Party gems from the new Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems (also coming on 1 Jul in the new Mini) and the card front was done!
On the inside, I added some Soft Sea Foam and Pool Party leaves images from Splendid Thoughts on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Then I added more of the Fine Sparkle Adhesive-Backed Gems (I’m already very much loving these pretty embellishments, y’all – and so will you!!).
I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to a Sahara Sand mat and into my Petal Pink cardbase, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.
My Basic White Medium Envelope got more of the Splendid Thoughts leaves on the front…
…and more Splendid Day Specialty DSP on the envelope flap.
Et Voila! So….are you excited?!? I know you are cuz this new catalog is amazing. As you can totally see from this new Splendid Thoughts stamp set and bundled Splendid Stems Dies and the coordinating Splendid Day Specialty DSP! I love the organic images – and I even like the “fill” images that deliberately don’t match the outlines. I don’t usually like that style, but…in this case – it really works and results in totally cool and artistic images! I can’t wait for you to be able to get it ALL on 1 Jul 2022.
