Stampin’ Up! Sending Smiles Sneak Peek for the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good morning, y’all – welcome to another edition of the Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team blog hop!  Each month we make projects centered around a theme – and this month our theme is “For the Ladies/Girls”!  We can interpret that any way we want – so…be sure to check and see everyone’s projects – we’ve got a bunch of talented ladies hopping with us this month!

I decided that a flowery pretty card was just what the ladies would order, so…I pulled out a new bundle called…Sending Smiles!  It’s in the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and you’ll be able to get YOUR hands on it on 4 May!  At the same time, you’ll want to pick up a pack of uber-pretty Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ DSP AND the amazeballs new Stylish Shapes Dies.  Take a look-see at how I put them all together! 🙂

This layout is from the TGIF Challenge this week.

I started with a flower-strewn piece of Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ DSP that I matted on Orchid Oasis to make the card front.  Orchid Oasis is one of our new 2022-2024 In Colors – and you’ll be able to pick it – and ALL the colors! – up on 4 May!

I cut two strips of a coordinating paper in the Tea Boutique pack, matted them on Orchid Oasis, and adhered them to the card front with Liquid Glue.

I used the middle rectangle in the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut a Basic White panel.

Using the stamps in the new Sending Smiles stamp set – I stamped the large flower in Fresh Freesia ink.  Then I added a Garden Green stem.  Finally, I used Orchid Oasis to stamp the flower center.

I popped the die cut panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

From the same Fresh Freesia paper that I’d used for the two strips, I used the “background” (aka “larger”) sentiment die, in the bundled Sending Dies, to cut a “mat” for my sentiment.  I used the detailed die and cut that from Orchid Oasis.

Using Liquid Glue, I adhered the detailed die cut to the “mat” die cut.

I used the third-from-largest circle die in my new go-to-always-going-to-be-on-my-desk Stylish Shapes Die set (get THIS one on 4 May, too!) to cut a circle – then I adhered it to the card front with Liquid Glue and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Again using Liquid Glue – and a couple of Stampin’ Dimensionals (under the top of the “S” and the “g”), I adhered the die cut sentiment over the circle.

On a piece of Basic White, I stamped a Sending Smiles sentiment in Garden Green and cut it with the handy label die in the Sending Dies.

I popped the die cut sentiment over the circle – and part of the die cut sentiment – with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally, I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies (cuz…Brushed.  Brass.  Butterflies!) and the card front was done!

On the inside, I stamped the Sending Smiles flower images in Fresh Freesia, Garden Green and Orchid Oasis.  And added some more of the Butterflies!

I used Liquid Glue to adhere the panel to an Orchid Oasis mat and into my Garden Green card base, popped the card front on with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the card was done.

My Basic White Medium Envelope got the Sending Smiles flower on the front…

…and more of the gorgeous Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ DSP on the envelope flap.

Et Voila!  Y’all – Sending Smiles is FAST shaping up to be one of my favorite flower sets ever – it’s SO easy to line up and the flowers are simple and lovely!  And the bundled Sending Dies not only cut out the cool sentiment die – but… almost EVERY sentiment, flower and leaf in the stamp set!!  The Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ DSP is…gorgeous.  Florals and plaids and tea cups and lemons!  I love it!  Add THESE goodies to your list, for sure!

I hope you like!
